I gaze into his captivating eyes, overcome with the overwhelming feeling that he is…mine.

I kiss him, still crying, as he scoops me up and places me down on his workbench. I wrap my legs around his torso, breathing him in. The whole area is full of his maple-campfire scent, but it’s more intense as I nuzzle his neck, driving me wild as his hardness presses against my core.

“Nash…” A wave of absolute certainty sweeps over me. “I want you.”

“And I want you, too,” he growls back, his erection straining.

“No.” He doesn’t understand. I pull back slightly, sweeping the hair off my neck and turning my head. “I mean… I want you. Not just right now, but forever. Claim me, alpha.”

Maybe that’s a corny line, but it’s how I feel. The deep sense of safety I feel when Nash’s around, the knowing that if he’s there, I’m going to be okay, brings me unspeakable security. I’m not like Kady—my gorgeous, independent friend who has never wanted to bond. I’ve always wanted to find my true love. It may be crazy to consider bonding so soon after we only startedcourting, but if I’m positive he’s the one, why wait? I can feel he’s my match deep in my bones, almost as if his name is already engraved onto them.

Shock clouds his features. “Really? I thought you’d want to court properly first.”

“I’m sure.” I wrap my arms around his neck. “I can feel it. That we’re meant to be. Unless…”

Have I completely misjudged this situation? He made me the most thoughtful and gorgeous book, but that doesn’t mean he wants to be bound to me forever.

Before I spiral, he tips up my chin, his gaze piercing mine.

“Of course, I want to,” he whispers. “From the moment I caught your scent, I knew there’d be no one else. But…” He blows out a long exhale. “I want you to be sure.” He brushes my lips with his thumb, sending a tremor through me. “Jagger will always be part of my pack. If we do this, it changes everything for everyone. There’s no going back. Are you ready for that?”

I know what he’s asking without him having to say it. He wants to know whether I’ll fully accept Jagger and all that comes with it, which only cements my decision. I want to be with a kindhearted and loyal man, one who puts others before himself, and I’ve found that in Nash.

“You’re my pack,” I state with certainty. “All three of you. I know that my relationship with Jagger has been difficult, but we’ll figure it out. Right now, I’m ready to move on from the past. In this moment, all I want to think about is our future. And us.”

His eyes keep darting to my neck, the crystal blue of his eyes completely covered by his blown pupils.

“I don’t care about gifts or dates or the whole courting process,” I continue. “And maybe it’s stupid to throw caution to the wind, say screw it to the consequences and follow my heart, but…” My eyes meet his. “You’re mine, Nash. And I want to be yours. Completely.”

He leans in cautiously, kissing my neck. It feels like every single nerve ending in my body is singing as his lips graze my skin.

“Are you sure?” His husky voice sends a delicious chill down my spine. “Right now?”

“Yes.” I tilt my head. “I’m positive.”

I wait, sucking in a breath, bracing for the bite. Just as I’m asking myself if this is when he’s going to do it, he pulls back.

“If we’re doing this, you have to be somewhere more comfortable,” he growls. “I’m not bonding with you on a dusty workbench. This is a moment we’ll always remember, so it needs to be special.”

Before I can object, he throws me over his shoulder like I weigh nothing.

“Nash!” I squeal as he strides down the steps and out of the workshop. “I can walk myself.”

“Nope, you’re coming with me,” he rumbles as he carries me through the house, moving like a soldier with a purpose. The others aren’t around as he storms up the stairs and kicks the nest door open. “It’s time to make you mine.”

The sexual tension buzzes between us as he throws me down onto the bed, only pausing to carefully remove our shoes and toss them aside.

“Wow.” He looks at me like I’m a masterpiece before tearing Tae’s shirt off my skin and hurling it away. “When we bond, I want my scent to be the only thing all over you.”

He leans over me, rubbing his scent glands over my cheeks. My body responds instantly, causing my sweet perfume to fill the air. He groans, driving his hips into mine, the metal of his belt buckle providing delightful friction against my heat. I wasn’t wearing a bra under the T-shirt, so as he crawls down me, herubs his scent all over my breasts, covering me in it before taking my nipple into his mouth, my body humming from need.

“Nash!” I whine, pawing at his pants, eager to remove them. How dare the fabric stand in our way? He squeezes my breast before straightening to undress himself.

I can’t believe this mountain of a man is going to be mine… forever. The thought turns me on even more.

“Off.” He nods at my skirt. “Now.”

I clench my thighs together as his tongue slips out to wet his lips when he sees I’m not wearing any panties. I’m already drenched, the tops of my thighs glistening with arousal.
