I was enjoying Chris’s company. He seemed cool and was extra fine. He was a caramel complexion like me with light eyes and bowlegs like Jah. I was popping my ass all over him on the dance floor. I could feel his dick stiffen.
“Damn girl. Just give me five minutes, maybe even four and you’ll be wanting to marry a nigga.” he joked.
He was standing behind me with his hands planted on my waist. I saw a huge crowd of niggas come towards the dance floor. They were all thugged out. I probably would’ve recognized some of the faces if I wasn’t so fucked up. Those handle bars had really set in. I continued to grind into Chris.
The deejay was playingPussy, Weed, and Alcoholby the Fifth Ward Boys. That shit got me extra crunk. Chris and I both had to represent for our hood. We were both throwing up Fifth Ward. I threw up BK with my other hand and he threw up the Coke Street sign. I soon realized that he had a whole damn army of Coke Street niggas with him.
“Y’all in here deep, huh?” I asked him.
“Hell yeah. We never come to the west less than ten deep.”
I understood how niggas from the Ward thought. For years niggas from the south side and north side were feuding. Things had since died down but those Fifth Ward boyz believed in reping everywhere they went and were always in some shit. I didn’t really entertain that plexing over hoods shit. Hell, I’d spent plenty of time in other hoods and my husband was asouth side representative. Shit, truthfully I fucked with both sides, but I would always claim Fifth Ward.
Right when I was about to take a break from shaking my ass I felt someone push me. I turned to see Jahrein bow-guarding his way between me and Chris.
“Say nigga, I don’t know what the fuck you thank this is.” I heard Chris say. That was the one time that I was praying that Jah just walked away. That nigga Chris was deep and surrounded around Coke Street niggas. And they were known for jumping.
“Bitch ass nigga you better get ya mind right!” Jahrein fumed, as he yanked me back.
Chris stepped to him. “I'll drop you where you standing.”
Jahrein touched the bridge of his nose, before cocking back then delivering a hard blow to Chris' temple. I cringed as he heard the blow over the loud music. His body instantly flew back, crashing into the surrounding crowd.
Before I could intervene niggas were coming from everywhere trying to jump my man. His boys were trying to get to him but they weren’t moving fast enough for me. Jahrein was getting with them but there were too many of them.
I took off my heels and jumped on some big ass nigga’s back that was trying to hit my man. “Get off of him.” I screamed. I was beating his ass all in the head with my heel.
“Get this crazy bitch off of me!” he yelled as blood dripped from his head.
When he dropped to his knees I got off of him. By that time Jahrein’s boys were in the mix. Blows were coming from every direction. I was trying to figure outwhere Jah was. I spotted him handling Chris. Then some dude came from behind and punched him in the head. They had Jahrein fucked up! I ran over to them and jumped on that nigga’s back too. He never saw me coming. I was fucking him up with my stiletto, while trying to choke the life out of him. He tried to slang my little ass off, but I wasn’t going anywhere.
Some broads from Fifth Ward tried to run up. One of them was Tae. She stopped dead in her tracks when she recognized me. “Raven? What the fuck is going on?” she asked just as I'd jumped off that nigga’s back.
“They was trying to jump my husband.” I barely got out, completely out of breath.
“Taerah, main, why you talking to this bitch?! She with them niggas! Slide her ass!” the dude tried to coerce, Tae while he held his bleeding head.
“Nigga, she’s from the Ward too. That’s my kinfolk.” Tae claimed.
“Main, she was helping those south side niggas!” he exclaimed.
“You damn right! Y’all got my husband fucked up!” I yelled as I clutched my sharp heel just in case he wanted to jump stupid.
“So, I don’t even like Chris like that.” she told him. “And you better not touch her either. I’ll have somebody deal with your ass.” Tae threatened. I knew most people hesitated with her, because her family had clout in the hood.
I left Tae to handle that guy, while I searched the crowds for Jahrein. The bouncers were catching hell trying to break up all the fights. I struggled to maneuver through the chaos. Finally, I saw Jahrein and a few of his boys leaving out the side exit, so I followed.
“Where Raven at?” Jahrein stopped and asked, before he realized that I was right behind him.
“I’m right here.” I told him.
He pushed me ahead of him. “Come on, main.”
“Those bitch ass niggas got me fucked up!” I heard Tony exclaim. “I’ma pop trunk on these niggas and then see what time it is.” he headed for his car.
“Baby, it aint worth it.” Tameka cried as she chased him. I could tell that he was about to light that parking lot up.
It seemed as though all of Jahrein’s boys were headed to their cars. I got a cold chill. I knew that shit was taking a turn for the worse. Then what was really fucked up was that my man and his friends were getting pistols to handle niggas frommyhood.
