I really didn’t want her in my business, but she didn’t have to know who I was having sex with. “Yeah.”

“So, you don’t think that you could be pregnant?”

“No.” I laughed. That was ridiculous.

“You sure? I mean, you have gained weight. Your stomach is still flat but your ass and titties arehugefor your size.” she pointed out.

I started posing in the mirror. I was looking at myself and loved what stood before me. I was still slim, but had gotten slightly thicker in certain areas. Still, my caramel skin did not have one stretch mark or scar. My stomach was still tight. Yep, Shell was losing her damn mind.

“Girl, I aint pregnant.”

“Whatever. Do that niggaJahuse condoms?” she asked, in a sarcastic tone.

“What?” my chest pounded.

“Does Jah use protection when he fucks you?”

“Why would you think that we’re doing something?”

“Raven, I am far from crazy. Every time I call you he is somewhere around questioning you. He don’t let you talk to no boys. How many niggas have he beat up over you this summer? How many passion marks have you miraculously had, even though he don’t let you out of his eyesight to do anything? Why don’t you ever talk about any other boys? Why in the hell did he pull your hair in the mall? Why does he get mad when you wear short clothes? Why don’t he want us hanging out? Don’t think that nobody notices how y’all barely come outside when Red and Ray-Ray are gone. And why in the hell is he watching you with a frown on his face as you prance your ass around in this bathing suit?”

She had a whole lot of questions and I didn’t have no answers. I was speechless. My shit wasn’t as tight as I thought.

“You don’t have to say shit. And don’t worry. I haven’t told anybody. You are cool peeps and I see that you know how to keep your mouth shut. That’s cool that you don’t like to tell your business. I’ve told you plenty of shit and not once did you tell my business. Loose lips sink ships. And then you didn’t trip out when I told you that I fucked him.”

I still didn’t say shit.

“On the cool, aint nothing wrong with what you doing. It aint like y’all related. Jahrein got a big dick and can fuck. He just don’t eat no pussy. That’s the only thing that I didn’t like.”

“Well, maybe he just does that to certain people.” I told her as I exited the bathroom. I really didn’t care for how she just had to remind me that she had Jah first.

“What the fuck y’all in there doing?” Jahrein questioned. He had been standing on the other side of the door, and seemed it like he’d been listening to us.

“Nothing. Why, were you eaves dropping or something?” I sassed. Overtime, I had learned to assert myself with him.

“Shut up.” he smiled showing off the new gold pull-out grill that Ray-Ray bought for him for his birthday. He even took Jah to the tattoo shop where he got Red’s name on his forearm andSunnyside Soldieracross his back. He was looking good in his long red swimming trunks. It was sheer coincidence that we were sporting the same color. His abs was looking appetizing, and those bowlegs always did something to me.

“Whatever.” I shoved him playfully. He pinned me against the wall and wrapped his arms around my waist. Sometimes it felt like he'd forget that we weren’t supposed to be doing that.

“Jah, stop.” I whined

“No. Give me a kiss.” he laughed as he continued to hold me.

“See, you smell like weed. That shit got you tripping.”

“You love me?” he asked me as he kissed my lips. Just then Shell finally came out of the bathroom and gave us a mean mug.

“Move.” I whined.

“No, answer me, with your hard headed ass. You know I told you to keep that shirt on, but I’ma let you make it. Now, tell Daddy that you love him.”

I sighed. “I love you.”

“Ugh, you need to use the bathroom?” Shell questioned with a disgusted look on her face.

“Yeah. It’s about time. I thought you had fell in the toilet.” Jahrein muttered, as he pulled me in the bathroom and closed the door. I was a little caught off guard that he was being so open in front of her, but then I remembered that he was at the door listening to us talk.

“Ewe that bitch smell like fish.” he complained, as I giggled. “You need to be careful about what you tell that dirty bitch. Everybody aint really your friend, Raven.” He warned and then went right back to kissing me.
