“Oh my God,” she whimpered. “Ooh, nigga, I love you so fucking much. I swear to God. I swear.”

I lifted my head, as her juices were literally trickling down my chin. “You love me, huh?”

She giggled, as her head fell back. “You know that, silly nigga.”

“So, are you gonna stop giving me a hard time, bringing up with those hoes say?”

I watched her gradually sit up. “Yeah, I will. If you buy me that new Benz.”

I laughed. “Okay, bet. All you had to do was ask.”

Irritated was a understatement. I’d booked the hotel for two days, and we were supposed to unplug from the world. Everything was going good, until Tyra started calling my direct line. Then when I wouldn’t answer for her, she started getting her friends to call from different numbers. So, eventually I went down to the hotel’s lobby to answer for her, and she told me that she was stranded on the side of the road. She also claimed that somebody had purposely sabotaged her tires, and she hadn’t realized it, until she was on the freeway. The shit didn’t sound plausible, but I was forced to come to her rescue, since I couldn’t get nobody to answer or they were totally out of pocket and wouldn’t reach her within a timely fashion. She had JJ at daycare, and he had to be picked up within a few hours, which was why I had no choice but to get her shit back on the road.

So, I pulled up on her, ready to deal with her, before returning back to what I was doing. I’d told Raven thatsomething had come up, and being a trooper she just told me to go handle my business.

“Jahrein, do you think that we can stop to get something to eat?” Tyra asked, as she was riding shotgun.

I didn’t immediately answer her, as I felt like she was asking for too much already. I had to pay a tow truck to take her car to the tire shop, and had paid for four new tires. From what it looked like, she’d been riding around, until her tires were bald, and they’d finally worn on her ass, all at the same time. Her lying ass was just irresponsible, and wanted to make it like broads were just so jealous of her.

“Nawl, man. I’m taking you to get JJ, and back to the tire shop. That’s it. If it wouldn’t have taken so long, I would’ve had your ass catch a cab.”

She sighed. “You always act like I’m getting on your nerves.”

“Because you are.”

She shook her head. “It’s bad enough that you said that I couldn’t contact you on Valentine’s Day. I accepted that. But this is a whole new day, and you still tripping.”

“Cause I told you that I was tied up. And if it wasn’t for JJ, then I wouldn’t have come.”

“Asshole,” she grumbled.

“I’ll be that.”

“Aint my fault you aint getting fucked right.”

“Huh?” I frowned in confusion. “The fuck are you talking about?”

She rolled her eyes. “IfRavenwas on her job, then you wouldn’t be so fucking grumpy.”

I sucked my teeth. “I done stopped trying to figure out how your fucking mind works. Cause I don’t see how you think that makes sense.”

“It makes perfect sense,” she claimed. “Your energy is off, and that’s because she can’t really give you what you need. She aint a freak like me, and I know that there’s a part of you pissed off that you can’t have everything in one person.”

I laughed at her dumb ass assessment. “So, you honestly believe that I married a broad who don’t know what to do with this dick?”

She tilted her head. “I bet that she can’t suck it better than me.”

I smirked. “I aint finna have that conversation with you, Tyra. Believe what you wanna believe.”

“No, I’m saying.” She licked her lips. “I see through you, Jahrein. You avoid me, because you know that I’ll have you rethinking some shit. That’s why you be acting scared.”

“Scared?”

“Yep. Unless you pull over right now, and let me remind you of why you used to keep coming back this way.”

“Mannn,” I drawled. “Nah, chill out.”
