“Nah, I aint even gon repeat that shit. She aint nothing but a liar, any damn way. She was even telling people that you was a powder head.” Michelle admitted.
“She what?” I asked in disbelief.
“Yeah, she was saying that shit in front of everybody in the beauty shop. She was saying that you could fuck off a whole eight ball by yourself. She was hating cause people was saying how you was one of the few chicks that actually got a husband, you know. No matter how shit goes down, Jahrein makes sure that you and the kids is straight. Girl, so many hoes be on some I wanna be Raven shit. Those bitches keep up with everything from your new hair color to the newest car you got. Shit, you’re always the hottest topic around there. The real hoes always have positive shit to say. You know like Tameka and Tiffany. Their niggas getting money too so they don’t even hate on you. They just remind thembitches that they don’t know about all the shit you have to put up with, while they’re worried about what Jah spend on you. OrKhalilfor that matter.”
I couldn’t believe how dirty bitches had been playing the game. They were all in my mix. I actually thought that I was doing a good job of keeping my thing with Khalil on the low. I wasn’t even going to entertain Shell with her loser ass. She was trying to throw me under the bus, but it was all good because a bitch like her wished that she could be me.
“What have you heard about me and Khalil, girl?” I decided to ask.
“For one, they’re saying that you got that nigga Khalil whipped. Jahrein been talking real crazy. And they both just got out on bond for fighting at your house.”
“Okay. What you mean that Jahrein been talking crazy?”
“Lucky told me that Jahrein was telling people that he was gonna kill you if he caught you and Khalil together again.” I wasn’t surprised at all. Jahrein was known to say shit like that. But did I fear for my life? Hell no!
“Girl, aint nobody worried about Jahrein’s ass.”
“I don’t know, Raven. Women underestimate their men all the time. You don’t know what be going through these crazy ass nigga’s minds.” Michelle said, sounding serious.
I knew where she was coming from; still I didn’t think that Jahrein would ever take things that far.
“I feel you, but Jahrein aint crazy.”
“Okay. You know him better than I do. But what about Khalil?”
“He aint gone do shit, either.” I giggled.
“Okay, Raven. So, are you as confused as people are saying?”
“Honestly, no. I was going to take Jahrein back until I saw him with that bitch Tyra.”
“He was with Tyra?” Michelle asked in shock.
“Yep. They were shopping withherson.” I admitted.
“Oh. Well Raven, I know Tyra and I’m telling you that you aint got shit to worry about. She begs for Jahrein’s attention and he still ignores her ass. She is a stupid bitch. She betrayed her cousin for him after that girl had taken her in when she had nowhere else to go. Everybody is saying that she was poking holes in condoms trying to make a baby with Jahrein. He didn’t believe that the baby was his because he was strapping up. He only took a paternity test because he was positive that the baby wasn’t his. Tyra trapped his ass. She knew that Jahrein took care of his responsibility. She thought that she was going to be another Raven, but she found out different. He would come see that baby every blue moon, until she started threatening to tell you. That’s when he started going around them more. He would spoon feed her ass money. If she needed pampers he would either bring her some or give her the exact amount that it cost. He buys all of the little boy’s clothes and toys, so that he won’t have to put any money in her hands. The bitch works at Taco Bell, Raven. The only way she wears name brand shit is when she writes hot checks. They say that she would do anything to fuck with him. She even let him piss on her.”
“Bitch, half of that shit probably aint true.” I said believing that Jah wouldn’t even be interested in doing stuff like that.
“Raven, you my nigga even if you don’t get no bigger. I wouldn’t bullshit you. Keeping it gangsta, most of this came from the horse’s mouth. She hangs out with my big sister. When I told you a while back that I heard a few chicks claim him I was talking mainly about her. At first I didn’t really know if her son was for him, so I didn’t want to be the one to bring that to you. She would talk about you all the time. I just hadn’t connected the two because she always referred to you as his bitch. So, when I figured out that you were Jahrein’s wife I didn’t want to put myself in the middle of some mess. On the cool, I felt that she was the dumbest bitch alive after meeting you. You got it going on and that nigga loves your dirty panties. Yeah, he takes you through some changes, but what nigga out here aint doing something? At least you know that he got your back no matter what. So, all I’m saying is look at the whole picture. I know you’re hurt and you have every reason to be, but ask yourself a few questions. How many completely faithful niggas we know? How many niggas taking care ofallhis kids? How many niggas continue to pay for a damn Benz once his wife leaves him? In fact, how many niggas are marrying their baby mamas? How many niggas gon give his woman money after she left him? How many bitches can say that they’ve been outside of Texas with their man less alone the Bahamas? Shit, bitch you got it made. You and him fight, but don’t say that you have never put your hands on him. The both of y’all need towork on that, but I feel that you need to work out your marriage.”
I sat and took in everything. I tried to see things from her point of view. Once again the mentality of “letting a man be a man” came into play. Yeah, Jahrein was a great provider. He was a good father. People always said that we made a beautiful couple. We were like hood royalty. I was the bad bitch by his side. Niggas wished they could walk a mile in his shoes. It was all bullshit.
I was the loser on the larger scale. All the gorgeousness and body got me was an unfaithful man that constantly made a fool out of me. I was the stereotypical idiot. Still, as idiotic as broads sounded when saying that I should stay with Jahrein it somehow all made sense, but it was harder than she thought. I didn’t even know how to begin to move on and let go.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
“Jahrein could you please come get the kids? I have to go somewhere.” I said into the phone’s receiver as I held my stomach.
“No, I’m busy.”
“Look Jahrein, don’t act like that with the kids. I need to handle something important. I can’t get in touch with anybody else.”
“I aint acting like shit with the kids. I aint doingyourass any favors. Look, I’m with my woman right now, so I’ll talk to you later.” Jahrein spewed.
“Baby, who is that?” I heard a chick say before he hung up the phone.
A rush of nausea just hit me and I scampered to the bathroom. I hurled every piece of food that I held in my stomach. I hadn’t thought about Jahrein giving upand moving on. Just the thought of him loving another woman made me physically sick.
