I sighed, knowing he was right. It was hard enough dealing with my recent unwanted promotion, out-of-control demon powers, an unruly demon dad, and now this? I couldn't catch a break.

"Fine," I relented. "But let me shower first. I can talk to her then."

Grayson lifted his head, his eyes boring into mine as if reading my thoughts. I could sense his reluctance to let me go, and it mirrored my own feelings. Yet, I knew that putting off Zandia any longer would only make things worse.

"You're starting to find your own stride," he whispered, a soft grin pulling at the corner of his mouth.

"Yeah, maybe," I replied, placing a soft kiss on his lips before reluctantly extricating myself from his arms.

As I slid off the bed, I couldn't help but feel the weight of everything bearing down on me. My life had become a whirlwind of danger, desire, and uncertainty. And at the center of it all were my mates who stirred emotions in me I had never experienced before.

Rhiot's voice interrupted my thoughts once more, his tone laced with urgency. "Parker, Zandia insists on hearing from you right away. She won't take no or delays for an answer."

"Does she ever?" I muttered under my breath. The truth was, the last thing I wanted to do right now was deal with Zandia and her demands.

"Thanks, Rhiot," I called out. "Tell her I'll be in the bathroom taking a shower. If it's urgent enough, she can talk to me there."

Grayson's growl echoed Rhiot's, both of them clearly unhappy with my suggestion. But I dismissed their concerns. "Calm down, both of you. I didn't mean it like that. Just give me some space, alright?"

Rhiot's voice softened as he spoke again. "I'll let Zandia know. Just... take care of yourself, alright?" The sound of his footsteps faded away, leaving Grayson and me alone once more.

"Damn interruptions," Grayson grumbled, the frustration evident in his tone. I couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt for not being able to reciprocate earlier.

"Grayson," I said, my voice laced with apology, "I'm sorry I didn't get the chance to make you orgasm. But I promise, as soon as we have time, I'll take care of you."

His eyes locked onto mine, and suddenly he winked. It was that devastatingly dangerous look that threatened to distract me from what I needed to do. My heart raced, and the heat returned to my cheeks. How could he do that with just a simple gesture?

"Stop trying to distract me." I chastised, attempting to shake off the effect he had on me. "I need this shower, and I need to focus."

Grayson smirked, clearly enjoying the power he held over me. Even though we were interrupted, there was still that electric connection between us. The mating call didn't understand why we weren't bonded yet. It pushed, trying to drive me back to Grayson.

With that, I turned away from him and headed toward the bathroom, doing my best to ignore the way my body ached for his touch. As I closed the door behind me, I tried to push all thoughts of Grayson from my mind, knowing that I had other pressing matters to attend to.

But even as I turned on the shower, testing the water until it was the perfect scalding temperature to relieve the ache in my muscles, I couldn't escape the feeling that something was about to change. That whatever awaited me outside the confines of the steamy bathroom would test me in ways I couldn't yet imagine.

For now, though, I focused on what I would say to Zandia and the promise I had made to Grayson. As soon as we had time, I would make sure he experienced the same pleasure he had given me. It was a promise I fully intended to keep, no matter what obstacles stood in our way. I wanted… needed to feel the mating bond take hold between us.

The steam filled the surrounding bathroom. My fingers slid over the fabric of my clothes as I undressed what little I still wore, dropping each garment into the laundry basket in the corner. Then I stepped under the stream. The warmth washed over me, cascading down my body and soothing my aching muscles.

My hands reached for my hair, working shampoo through the strands and massaging my scalp. I allowed myself a moment of quiet, blanking out my mind from all the worries as I allowed myself to be in the moment. Then, reaching for the bar of soap, I felt Grayson's telekinesis teasing my overly sensitive clit once more.

"Grayson…" I groaned, gripping the wall for support as the soap slipped from my grasp. His power continued to toy with me, making it nearly impossible to concentrate on anything else.

"Can't resist, can you?" I muttered under my breath, though I knew he couldn't hear me. Or could he? Was he listening in on my thoughts as well?

"This is so unfair," I protested, trying to ignore the flicking sensations between my thighs. If I could just finish this shower, maybe Zandia's update wouldn't take very long. Then I could jump Grayson.

I fought against his invisible grip, but his telekinetic caresses were relentless and irresistible. My moans and gasps reverberated through the steam-filled bathroom as my body betrayed me, eagerly responding to his touch.

"Please, Grayson, stop," I begged quietly, knowing full well that he probably wouldn't. And if I were honest with myself, I wasn't entirely sure I wanted him to. Grayson giving me orgasms was much more desirable than listening to Zandia's personality disorder.

As his power continued to dance across my clit, I knew I needed to find a way to block him out, to regain control. Zandia was impatient, and I was flirting with danger just by taking a shower. The added delay of another orgasm risked her actually showing up, like Rhiot had warned.

"I don't have time for this," I grumbled under my breath. For a brief moment, the telekinetic caresses ceased, allowing me to catch my breath and refocus.

Bending over to retrieve the slippery bar of soap, I felt his telekinetic cock slide into me without warning, filling me completely. My hand slipped from the tiled wall, and I let out a surprised gasp as pleasure surged through my body.

"Grayson, you jerk," I muttered under my breath, clutching onto the built-in soap rack for support. The water cascaded down my back, its warmth doing little to counteract the heat building inside of me.
