Everything that happened after had just been leading up to the sex, and it had been out of this world, incredible. She loved every second of it.

But that had been last night, when they had sex in the shower, and then giggled a little.By the time they made it to bed, she’d been exhausted, and so had he.Sleep had consumed them.

It was now morning, and this was all so very different, she wasn’t sure she had it in her to talk or answer questions.

Razor was still asleep.

She needed to gather her stuff and leave before he woke up.She didn’t know if he was a deep sleeper or a light one.

Easing the blanket off her body, she was completely naked, and she took her time sliding off the bed.She didn’t want to disturb him.So far, she’d gotten lucky. Her heart raced as she attempted to flee the scene of the crime.Once off the bed, she paused and looked toward him to see if he noticed someone was leaving his bedroom.

Now, she needed to be quiet and try not to squeak on any floorboard. She had never snuck around anywhere. She never snuck out of her home when she was a kid. There was no point.

This was a lot harder than she thought it would be.By the time she made it to the edge of the bed, she must have made a gazillion sounds. She couldn’t remember folding her clothes up neatly, but they were on a chair at the edge of the room.

She was about to take a step, but she let out a little scream as his arms suddenly appeared around her waist, and she didn’t have time to fight him as he pulled her back to the bed.

“And where do you think you’re going?”he asked.

“Razor,” she said, with a smile.

“You were trying to sneak off, weren’t you?”

“How long have you been awake?”Lying was such an ugly thing, and if she could figure out how much he had seen, she wouldn’t need to lie.

He raised both his brows.“Before you were even awake.”

“What? Why did you pretend to be asleep?”she asked.“Were you watching me sleep?”

“I’m a light sleeper.I’m a morning person, and I figured you’d be uncomfortable if I woke up before you, so I pretended to be asleep, and yes, I was watching you.”

This surprised her, as he answered every question.

“Okay,” she said.

He smirked.

“So, what lie were you going to come up with?”he asked.

“I was not going to lie.”

“But you were sneaking off?”

She rolled her eyes, because she didn’t want to lie.“Fine, fine, yes, I was sneaking away, but that is because I’ve never done this, and I didn’t know if you were upset about last night, and I’m not sure what the proper protocol is.”

“So, sneaking off?”

It sounded immature, so she merely shrugged her shoulders.

“And why wouldn’t you want to talk about last night?”he asked.“Do you regret it?”

“No, I don’t.”She didn’t even need to hesitate. There were no regrets being with him. There might be a little regret now at getting caught trying to sneak out.

“Good.Do you want to talk about last night?”he asked, stroking some hair from across her brow.

“I’m not sure.”She winced.

“Okay,” he said.“We can take it at your pace.”
