“Stay with me, Midnight.” His eyes pleaded from between my thighs. “I haven’t had my fill.”

I nodded, taking a deep breath, not wanting this to end. I sent more magic toward his cock, and he jerked it wildly, chasing his release.

“Saros, I need you to come,” I whimpered, desperate to watch him fall apart with me on his tongue. “Please.”

Puffs of magenta filled the truck, fading in and out. Tendrils of red smoke mixed into the vibrant hue, drawing my eyebrows together. Saros roared against me, sucking my clit between his lips in pulsing waves while he unleashed.

He groaned, shoving his glistening fingers deep inside me, curling them until my body was shaking while he twisted his tongue around my sensitive bud.

The crimson smoke tainted the magenta further, its trail leading outside the window.

My breath hitched, and I craned my neck toward the thin wisps, finally spotting their source. Atlas stood out in the cul-de-sac, glaring at us with white-knuckled fists balled at his sides, his chest rising and falling rapidly.

Then he broke his stare, his gaze drifting down Saros’s head buried between my thighs.

I couldn’t breathe, my body in complete shock as his red smoke twisted into magenta tendrils of desire.

“Oh my Goddess,” I choked out.

His fists were still clenched, but his attention didn’t move, his rage and lust pulsing over us as Saros continued to devour me.

Ecstasy coiled deep in my belly.

“You’re so worked up. Did Lynx get you this wet last night?” Saros whispered, his wicked words licking up my center. “I saw you gush for him, Midnight. One day I’ll have you gushing for me.”

Atlas’s focus narrowed. I moved to wriggle from Saros’s grasp, but he curled his fingers faster, chasing my pleasure with his tongue.

My attention was pinned to Atlas, the aqua of his irises glinting with something akin to possessive want, magenta and red fading in and out around him. The edges of his eyes softened despite his glare, and a glimpse of the bulge in his slacks caught my notice, untethering that coiled knot in my belly.

I parted my lips to warn Saros just as he nipped my clit. Stars burst in my vision, and I clamped a hand over my mouth to stifle my scream in release.

Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit.

Saros didn’t have the chance to get out of reach fast enough. The space between my quivering legs that once held him was now replaced with cold emptiness as the rush of his Recollection flooded my veins.

He grabbed a few towels, spelling them to clean us both up without saying a word. Then he knelt down to wipe up the floor, very intentionally making sure to keep away from me.

When I glanced back out the window, Atlas was gone.

I jumped off the counter, pulling my dress down around myself, wishing I could crawl into a hole somewhere and never come out.

How the fuck did I let this happen?

“I-I’m so sorry,” I said, body still shaking from the aftershocks of my release. “I got distracted. Atlas—”

“You were thinking about Atlas?” Saros accused.

“No,” I shot back, anger flaring through me. But how could I admit that Atlas watching us together had lit the match, despite promising to warn Saros? There was no good way to say this, and I was still so confused by the entire exchange. “Atlas saw us.” I pointed to the open window. “He knows.”

I’d managed to make Atlas and Saros hate me in one fell swoop.

“You’re sure?” Saros rubbed the back of his neck, and I wished more than ever that I saw his emotions in this moment, to know we would be okay, but Lynx’s borrowed magic had vanished.

A buzzing came from the counter, and Saros lunged for it, frowning when he tapped the message.

“What is it?”

He held the screen up to show me.
