“Yeah, Winnie Baker,” he said hoarsely. “I know.”

Our gazes were still locked, and I abruptly remembered this was supposed to be research, this was for the movie. “How didI look?” I asked. “When I came?” Maybe Kallum would be able to give me detailed notes for our next love scene.

But Kallum just responded with, “Beautiful. You looked beautiful.”

And then he looked down, past where his fingers were still wedged in my vagina, to his lap. And then he pulled his hand free and leapt to his feet.

“I, uh— I gotta go.”

“What? Why?”

He leaned down and kissed my forehead. “You’re perfect,” he said, and then he straightened and left the room at a very brisk powerwalk.

But not so brisk that I didn’t see the giant erection currently straining his jeans.

After the door closed, I wondered if I should have offered to help him get off. If there was some sort of etiquette to this situation that I’d breached. But I was still so buzzy and floaty andsmiley... I couldn’t stop smiling! I wanted to laugh. I’d grown up thinking that sex outside of marriage was something that would stain me and haunt me. But it turned out that getting off with a sex toy and a thick finger in my ass made me feel lighter and cleaner than I’d felt in years.

Still smiling to myself, and humming one of Addison’s top-ten hits, I got up from the chair, scooped up the shirt that Kallum left behind in his haste to leave the room, and carried it to bed. I meant to fold it and leave it on the end table, but somehow I ended up falling asleep with it crushed against my face. It smelled like warm bread and soap, like Kallum. And when I dreamed, I dreamed of him.

Chapter Eight

Kallum

I slept like a fucking baby last night.

And I wondered if I should feel guilty about that, but kneeling there in front of Winnie Baker with her legs spread for me, knowing that I was the first and only person to have ever seen her come... And it was becauseIhelped her...

I raced out of there the moment my brain caught up to what I’d just done. Mostly because if someone had dick tapped me, they’d have broken their hand.

My hotel door slammed shut behind me and I was unzipping my jeans and reaching for my erection. I sunk to my knees and it only took a few quick jerks before the warm release hit my hand.

She was so perfect and cute and ferociously sexy in ways she didn’t even know. The moment my pinkie had pressed againsther pretty little asshole and she’d let go of every inhibition would be painted inside my skull for the rest of my life.

So yeah, I slept hard. And dreamed of Winnie. I dreamed of all the things I wanted to do to her and even of the things I wanted her to do with me. And I dreamed I was the kind of guy who could take Winnie Baker on a date. I dreamed that she had a toothbrush at my house or her own drawer in my bedroom full of sweatpants and sports bras and the kind of underwear I could tear in two.

When I finally did roll out of bed for my ninea.m.call time, I already had a missed FaceTime from my sister. I shot off a quick text in response.

Me:Just woke up. Call you back during one of my breaks.

After a quick shower, I reached for a fresh pair of jeans and faded Royals T-shirt from my suitcase. My phone rang again as I slipped on the wool hipster sneakers Tamara had gotten me for my birthday, which Topher referred to as my sheep-fucker shoes.

I swiped to answer. “Hey there—”

Tamara’s face filled my screen, and she was flustered with a panicked expression I knew well.

“What happened?” I asked. “Is Toph okay? What about Mom and Dad?”

“Everyone is fine,” she mercifully admitted as her nostrils flared. “Well, almost everyone.”

“Is it Tucker?” I asked, wondering if the Vasectomy King of Kansas City had done something to set my sister off. “Did he... cheat?” I whispered.

“Kallum Lieberman, you should be one to talk. My husband would never. You on the other hand... you... you... HOMEWRECKER!”

My jaw dropped as I sprung to my feet, meeting my sister’s energy. “What are you talking about? I don’t even have a home to wreck!”

“You fuckface!”

I swear to God, if ever a woman could smack someone on the side of the head through FaceTime, it was my sister.
