He stared into my eyes, and goosebumps covered my body. His eyes watered, and another tear fell.
“I promise nothing else is going to happen to you again. I will burn the whole world down for you, Munch.” He went deeper inside of me, and I cried as an orgasm tore through me. “I love you so much.” He leaned down and kissed me.
“I love you too.”
We both cried as we made love. I couldn’t believe a man like Kane cried over me. On the inside, I had my chest puffed out because I tamed the player.
“Don’t tell anybody I cried, Munch,” he said after he released inside of me.
I giggled, but it hurt a little. “Don’t worry, I won’t.”
Kane laughed, then rolled next to me.
“I have a doctor that can come by. I just wanted to make sure you were up to it.”
I laid my head on his chest. “That’s fine. Can we get something to eat? Wait, the groceries.”
I remembered I had gone grocery shopping, and I hoped my money didn’t go to waste. I wasn’t sure where my car was, but I could have sworn we rode in it on the way here.
“We can eat whatever you want. As far as the groceries, I had to get rid of some of the stuff, but I had Isis and Carmen get us more. We have everything we need, and we aren’t leaving the house any time soon. I want to make sure you are comfortable going outside.”
“I like the sound of that.” I smiled, then kissed his lips. “How did you even find me?”
It was crazy that he found me since we were in the middle of nowhere.
He used two fingers and lifted the necklace he gave me.
“This has a tracker in it.”
I didn’t know if I should be mad about it or not. I should be happy that he’d done that since he was able to find me so quickly.
“I only did it after you got ran off the road, and I’m glad I did it. I would never just randomly check your location, but I’m glad I can find you when need be.” He kissed me. “I hate what them niggas did to you.” He ran his finger down my cheek.
I was afraid to look in a mirror because I didn’t want to see the damage.
“I’m okay, baby. I promise you.” I kissed his lips a couple of times.
“Let me know if you aren’t, okay? Whatever it is.”
“I will.”
I wasn’t sure if I would have PTSD or something after all of this, but I would talk to Kane if I needed to. I knew he would do anything for me.
Kane ordered food for us, then called the doctor. While we waited, we showered and got dressed.
A little while later, the doctor had came and went. She informed me that I didn’t have any broken bones, just some bruises, but they should heal with no problem. She did STD tests, even though I told her nobody touched me. They were rapid tests, and we had the results by the time she left. Thankfully, as I knew they would, they all came back negative. I’d taken a pregnancy test, and it was positive. I wasn’t in a rush to tell Kane, because I wanted to think of a special way to tell him.
“You good, Munch?” Kane asked as he reentered the room I was in.
When the doctor came, she and I went into the other bedroom to have some privacy. He said he needed to check in with the guys anyway, so he had no clue as to what the doctor and I talked about. Dr. Mason was sweet, and she told me she’d been making house calls for the Vipers for a while. She didn’t have to tell me, but when Kane mentioned Rico’s name, she blushed. I wanted to ask Kane if he noticed, but I kept it to myself. Knowing him, he didn’t pay attention to it.
“Yes, I’m fine.” I got up from the chair and walked toward him.
When I was close enough, he opened his arms, and I walked right into them. I wrapped my arms around his waist and laid my head against his chest.
“You’ll tell me if you aren’t, right?”
“Yes, Kane. We already established that.”
