I missed my brother so much. Sometimes I wondered how he would have felt with me being with Kane. I wasn’t even sure why he kept me away from the club in the first place. I would neverget the answers. I knew he would want me to be happy, and I had gotten that happiness with Kane.

Kane had been trying to get me out of my funk, but it hadn’t worked. It wasn’t fair to him, because this affected him just as much as me, but he handled it better than I did.

I was buried under the covers when Kane entered the room and snatched the cover off me.

“Munch.” I looked up. The look of concern on his face made me feel bad because he really had been trying. “It’s time for you to get out of this bed. I gave you time, but I refuse to let you stew in sadness.”

“But I don’t want to get up,” I whined. I wasn’t sure if I was ready to do anything. I also knew that he was sick of my shit. I was a true advocate of letting people process their emotions, but I encouraged them not to let them fester. The longer a person sat in sadness, the longer it would take for them to get out of it.

Kane chuckled, but it wasn’t his normal amusing chuckle. He leaned down and got really close to my face. I admired how damn fine he was, but the look in his eyes made me nervous.

“You must have thought I was asking.” The way he said it made me wet. It had been a few days since we had sex, and I was feeling the effects of it. “Now, I’m going to fix something to eat, and you are going to go into the bathroom and get yourself ready for the day. Once you are done, you are going to come eat breakfast, then we are going outside. Do I make myself clear?”

“Yes, sir.”

The left side of his mouth lifted into a smile, before he kissed me.

“Good girl.”

I bit my lip as I watched him walk out of the room. Doing as he said, I got up and got myself ready for the day.

I felt a lot better after I took a hot shower and even washed my hair. When I was done, I brushed it into a ponytail, then putmy clothes on. I wasn’t sure what he had planned, but I put on joggers and a hoodie.

Once I was dressed, I grabbed my glasses and walked to the kitchen.

“I’m glad you could join me.” Kane’s back was turned, but I guessed he felt my presence.

He turned around with a plate in his hand as I walked to the island.

“It’s not like I had a choice.”

He smiled at me and put the plate in front of me. My stomach growled as I looked down at the pancakes and bacon on the plate.

“As long as you know.” He smirked, then grabbed his plate from the counter and sat next to me.

We blessed our food, then ate it.

“I was thinking that I could teach you how to ride.”

I dropped my fork and jumped on him. Luckily, he had quick reflexes and didn’t let me fall to the floor.

“Are you for real?” I asked as I squeezed him around his neck.

“Yes, I’m for real.” He laughed and kissed my cheek. “Finish eating so we can go.” He placed me back on the stool, and I had never finished food as fast as I did.

A little while later, we were outside, and I was on his bike. I had my helmet on along with one of his jackets that he wore sometimes when he rode. I changed into some jeans and a pair of boots. I looked the part; I just hoped I could do it.

“Let’s start with turning it on.”

I turned it on and squealed when the engine rumbled. The vibrations went through my body, and it kinda turned me on.

Kane laughed and shook his head.

“Now, let’s go over all the controls.” He showed me all the controls and symbols, then told me to turn it off.

“You always want to inspect the bike before you get on it. Things are more exposed than they are on a car, so you have to be aware of everything.”

“Okay.”
