When Munch got close to me, I pulled her onto my lap, causing her to squeal.

“Kane, what are you doing?” she asked through gritted teeth. She looked around the room as her cheeks reddened.

“I’m making sure you eat.” I scooped some potatoes onto my fork and held it to her mouth.

I heard Drizzle suck her teeth, but as long as she didn’t say anything, I would ignore her.

“I’m sure she could feed herself,” Drizzle said.

Munch finished chewing the food in her mouth, then leaned forward and pushed her glasses up.

“How’s your nose, Sizzler?”

I let out a low chuckle at the name.

“You only got that off because I wasn’t paying attention,” Drizzle shot back.

“Okay,” Munch responded, then leaned back so I could feed her some more.

I guessed Drizzle didn’t like Munch brushing her off. She said, “I mean, we have nothing but space right now.”

Munch chuckled, but I knew shit wasn’t funny to her. She tried to get up, but I tightened my grip on her waist.

“I don’t bother you, so I don’t know why you insist on bothering me,” Munch said as she leaned forward again.

Everyone had stopped talking to watch the interaction.

Drizzle stood up, and Munch tried to again, but I wouldn’t let her.

“Because you come in here and act like you are all that.”

“Bitch!” Munch wiggled to get out of my grasp, but I just held her tighter.

I grabbed her chin and turned her toward me.

“Don’t entertain her, baby.” I pecked her lips. “She’s not important. And damn sure not worth you fighting.” I pecked her lips.

“Are you serious right now?” Drizzle screamed.

“Oh, she big mad now,” Slider joked.

Multiple people laughed at his silly ass.

Without taking my eyes off Munch, I addressed Drizzle.

“You and your crew need to leave.” I heard her friends suck their teeth and say how they didn’t do anything, but I didn’t give a fuck. Wasn’t anybody going to make Munch uncomfortable or force her to get out of character.

I didn’t repeat myself, and Drizzle knew that, so she and her crew left. I was glad she didn’t try to make a bigger scene, because it wasn’t nothing for me to get some chicks to fuck her up.

“Everyone, carry on,” I said when they were gone.

Conversations picked back up as forks went back to clanking against the plates. It was like nothing even happened.

“I’m glad you got rid of her because my hand was itching to smack fire out her ass.” Munch’s eyebrows bunched.

I laughed, then kissed her again. I couldn’t help myself when she was around.

“Calm down. Don’t let these bird brains get you out of character. You are better than that. Now, you want some more food?”
