I answered with a soft moan, reaching for his shoulders. “Yes, I love you too, Preston.”

A second orgasm claimed me as Preston collapsed with a low groan, crying out my name as his body grew rigid from release. We rode out the waves of pleasure together as our bodies lay tangled and trembling.

Soon enough, I sighed against his body, wrapping my arms around him. The tension faded from his as he rolled off me, breathless and laughing softly. Neither of us wanted this warm, blissful moment to fade, so we held each other tightly, snuggling in and slowly breathing in the combined scents of the room.

After a moment, he whispered to me. “You’re incredible.”

“You continue to take my breath away,” I whispered back to him.

I stood outside in the driveway, breathing in the fresh air and waiting for Demetrius and Ivy to join me. I really just needed to get out of the house and away from Preston. I saw him and Ivy run upstairs to his room earlier, and now he wouldn’t stop smiling. I didn’t blame him—I would be too if I were him. I just needed to be patient for my time with her to come.

The garage door opened, and Dem strolled out. In a very rare first, he handed me the keys to the SUV. “Would you please drive today?”

Shocked, I quickly agreed, taking the keys from him and opening the driver’s side door. I'd known this man for over fifteen years—he always wanted to drive.

“Are we ready to go?” Ivy said as she stepped out into the garage, wearing cute shorts and a form-fitting top.

Oh…right. Ivy would be in the backseat. I sent a glare at Dem.

He shrugged and smiled. “I’ll drive on the way back.”

“Are you not driving today?” Ivy asked as she walked up to him. “I’ve never seen you in the backseat.”

All three of us got into the SUV and took off down the road. Dem and Ivy snuggled in the backseat as he gently twirled his finger through her hair.

“We should do a photoshoot at the house to capture our pack and each member with Ivy. What are your thoughts?” I asked. Might as well make my mind useful while I drove. “We can use them for publicity in the future.”

“Great idea,” Dem agreed as he rubbed his cheek against Ivy. “We need an updated pack photo with Ivy anyway.”

I merged the car onto the freeway. “Each one of us seemed to like a different picture from Ivy’s first photoshoot. Maybe we can each have our own theme. My favorite is her asCarmen.” My mind recalled Ivy with her pouty lips and playful eyes in our Carmen outfit.

“Carmen was nice, but I prefer theLes Sylphidesposes. Very elegant and classic looking,” Dem replied as he looked at Ivy. “Did you have a favorite?”

“They were all fun to pose in. I’m just happy that, for once, I have a flattering headshot.” Ivy shrugged with a smile.

Dem and I both softly laughed. She was quite the diplomat, even if she didn’t realize it.

“Maybe we could do the group shot in the courtyard during the golden hour, capture that soft and dreamy quality,” I threw out some thoughts, trying to ignore Dem rubbing his cheek against Ivy. This must have been how he felt this whole time with us.

“We might not have the sunlight for much longer. With fall here, maybe we can capture something with the leaves changing?” Ivy said.

“Ooh, I like that suggestion, though we don’t get enough fall weather unfortunately,” I replied as I turned off the freeway and headed towards Ivy’s apartment. Almost there.

“Have you thought about how you’re going to decorate your nest? Do you want to keep it a surprise for us?” Dem asked Ivy.

“I do…at least the room. I want everyone’s input on what needs to be in it,” she replied, giving Dem a gentle nuzzle under his chin.

“I’m going to need lots of snacks,” I joked, though honestly, I wasn’t sure what I’d need. Maybe I should start researching this more, too.

“Here we are!” Ivy said as I pulled the SUV up to a front parking spot. We all exited the car and made our way up to Ivy’s apartment.

“Lukas and I can focus on packing up the kitchen and cleaning the living room while you pack the rest of your things up. Any suitcase ready to go, just put it by the front door, and we’ll load it up,” Dem said as we entered Ivy’s apartment.

The inside of Ivy’s apartment was filled with her scent as usual, which always gave us such a strong urge to scent-mark everything—not ideal if we were trying to clean the place.
