“I’ll just go use the bathroom and be right back,” I gestured, getting up and leaving. As I walked down the aisle, I could sense Preston’s gaze following me with every step I took.
Inside the bathroom, I caught my breath in front of the mirror. I almost lost control to Preston’s scent, and there was a very large part of me wanting more of him. The look in Lukas’s lust-filled eyes thrilled me as well. I wanted them both badly. There were two of them; how could I want two men at the same time? This was not normal, but god, I wanted them to take me home and throw me on any flat surface.
I took another few deep breaths and splashed a little bit of water on the back of my neck. Exiting the bathroom, I found Lukas and Preston waiting for me by the front door.
“Shall we walk you back?” Lukas held the door open for me, all casually as if I hadn’t just licked Preston’s neck a few minutes ago. I agreed, thanking Lukas as I walked through the door to the glow of the streetlights outside.
We crossed the street to my building, the fresh air helping to clear my head of their scents. Lukas and Preston escorted me up to my floor, and we all paused at my door.
“Thank you for tonight. I had a wonderful time.” I smiled at both of them. Looking at Preston, I added, “I’m so sorry I…” I reached for his neck to wipe the area where I'd licked him, but he grabbed my hand quickly before I could.
“Don’t! I’m enjoying your scent on my neck,” he said as he brought my hand to his lips. “Sweet dreams, Ivy.”
Lukas leaned forward and kissed my cheek, causing a shiver to run down my spine. “We’ll see you tomorrow, gorgeous girl.”
I waved goodbye as I entered my apartment and locked the door behind me. My heart was doing little flips as I reviewed tonight's date and how much fun I had. Maybe I could handle this omega thing after all.

Preston
I sat in the passenger seat while Lukas drove us home, my whole body humming with desire. Ivy’s scent was all over my neck. I used to roll my eyes at the cliché joke of never washing something again, but I actually didn’t want her scent to fade.
“Her licking you was…” Lukas began, unable to finish his sentence as he let out a low whistle.
“I know, I was so stunned when she leaned in to me. I didn’t want to stop her either, but I knew she’d be horrified when she came to her senses,” I replied. “We’ve only known her a week, yet every thought I have is filled with her.”
“Yes, I want to know everything about her. Tonight was just a brief glimpse of what our lives will be like. Imagine her living with us,” Lukas breathed heavily, clearly as affected as I was by her. We were scent-matched to her after all, but none of us could have predicted what that effect would actually feel like. I wanted to hold her in my arms, carry her to a secluded corner, and kiss her till her lips were swollen. And of course, my mind could not stop wondering what sex would be like with her.
“She’ll make such a great pack mate, I just know it,” I said, looking out the window. I already knew I’d dream of her tonight.

Small Moments...and Texts
Ivy
Half the corps group had been released for the moment, meaning I had a little break to myself Tuesday morning. I found a secluded spot in the hallway and sat down, pulling out my tablet and settling in to read more omega literature.
Dr. Laughlin had sent me more information on alpha/omega pack dynamics, along with changes I should be experiencing. It all felt like I was stepping into a completely unknown dating world filled with these rules and instinctual responses.
As I read, a faint scent grew closer, slowly catching my nose. A small smile spread across my face, knowing at any moment, Preston would be near me.
Sure enough, he rounded the corner and paused, smiling down at me. I glanced up over my tablet, raising one of my eyebrows curiously.
“Want to join me?” I asked, patting the carpet next to me. My stomach flipped in excitement as he sat down. “How did you find me?”
He tapped his nose in reply. “I’m a trained dog, apparently. Also, I…” He shook his head as his words trailed off.
“What?” I asked, bumping into him playfully with my shoulder. “What were you going to say?”
“I kind of keep tabs on you in the building,” he said with a shrug. “I’m calmer if I know where you are. I’m sorry if that’s weird.” His beautiful, intense green eyes connected with mine, drawing me in.
I shook my head, unable to reply as my voice left me. “I get it,” I managed to squeak out, earning a smile from him. He looked down at my tablet.
“What are you reading?” he asked.
“Dr. Laughlin’s been giving me a lot of reading material on—” I lowered my voice to a whisper— “omega stuff.”
