Fox leaps on us, and I laugh and take off running, my alphas and horse chasing after me. All around us are friends and family. I spot Katsu’s family wave from the stairs and pause to wave.

“Congratulations, babies!” Freddie shouts. “I’m so proud of you all.”

Sari clings to Tarou, smiling happily as she watches us and the incredible light show.

We stay until Katsu has had enough of me shivering.

“Come on, time to get you warm.”

He lifts me up and puts me on Gale, and we make our way back up to Main Street where almost everyone but a few stragglers have disappeared.

“You know that was live, right?” Sebastian suddenly says. “Everyone knows you are Lynn.”

“I know,” I say with a grin.

“Okay. Just checking.”

“Can I read the third book?” Fox asks suddenly.

“It’s in edits!”

“Is that a no?”

I stare at them. They don’t know yet that Bas joins the twosome and the spicy sex scenes are extra spicy. Perhaps I could get them to read it. Hmm.

“Also Katsu and Fox can be the narrators. Imagine it, Cat and Wolf, narrated by Katsu and Fox. It will be hilarious,” Sebastian says.

“Sebastian,” I mock-growl at him.

“Did you know Katsu’s dad owns a printer?” he interjects.

I almost fall off Gale.

“What?” I screech.

“Yes, I’ve been trying to hold them off and stop them, but they have approached me several times. They want to print your book.”

“This is crazy,” I protest, as Katsu and Fox start to laugh.

“Welcome to our crazy, magical Sunshine life,” Sebastian purrs. “It’s way better than a book.”

Chapter 35

Fox

Iget up from the bed and pad around the house, hunting. Cordelia has fallen asleep in the lounge again. I close her laptop and pick her up, bringing her into the nest where Sebastian and Katsu, in their sleep, turn towards her, enveloping our omega in hard muscles and long limbs.

The thrum that starts in one is echoed by the other two in moments.

We purr in our sleep. I did not know that. So damn adorable.

For one wildly tempting moment, I almost climb back into the nest and go back to sleep with my pack. Almost.

It’s been four weeks since Light Knot Night, and we have spent every single day together. Every moment. I know the rhythms of my omega and our alphas, when they get up, when they are a little bit cranky in the morning because they need coffee. I know that Sebastian gets this surge of creative energy around 9 pm and sits with his tablet drawing while he chews on his bottom lip. Katsu has always been an early riser, but now he’s sleeping later, as if spending time in the nest with our pack is changing him.

I make coffee and start breakfast, bacon and eggs, because it’s a special day.

But there’s something I need to do first, so I grab my phone and coffee and look out the kitchen window, waiting while the phone rings. I wander out onto the veranda and stare at the beautiful ocean. Winter is almost over; I look forward to the next season of our life. It excites me.
