It felt as if an hour passed as he moved atop me, rubbing his body over mine. He nuzzled and touched every inch of me until I was shivering in need once more. Then, at last, Trevor helped me up onto my hands and knees. Sweeping his hands down my back, he growled. The sound vibrated through me and nearly brought me over. But I needed more. Even when his hands slid under to knead my breasts, I didn't climax. Trevor's hands moved lower—over my belly, and between my legs. With a few rubs, my husband discovered how ready I was. He stroked me anyway, delighting in my sounds of pleasure.
With growls of lust and love, Trevor drew his hands down to my ass and spread me. He paused, taking his time to appreciate the view, and I looked over my shoulder to watch the fire take him. Trevor licked his lips before releasing one cheek to grab his cock. Meeting my gaze, he guided himself home.
“Trevor!” I shouted, enjoying our privacy to the fullest.
He grabbed my hips and began a steady thrusting. Trevor's panting became rough; his thrusts wild. I looked back again to find him staring at me with glowing eyes.
Wolf had taken over.
Normally, I'd be upset that Wolf slid into a moment like this without my knowing. But I understood why he was there. This was Trevor's wild side. His primal alpha. Wolf protected Trevor when things got too painful. He also needed time with his mate. Scent-marking got him as excited as it got me. And, when it came down to it, Wolf was still Trevor.
“Mate,” Wolf growled and dropped onto me. With his hands on either side of mine on the bed, he held himself up while still covering me. Body bowed, he pumped deep, and nuzzled his face into my hair. Wolf's low, rumbling, deep voice slid into my ear. “Here, you are all mine, mate. Do you remember?”
I knew he was referring to his first appearance. It was here that he had risen in Trevor and taken over, allowing my husband to give in to the primal instincts he'd been suppressing. Wolf had kept me with him in that very room until I got pregnant. It was how we got Vero—our truth. Yes, we had conceived our son in the wildest, most primitive way. I was glad for it. Without Wolf, I may have waited years before agreeing to have a baby with Trevor.
“Of course, I remember.” I bucked him off me, and as he flopped onto his back in shock, I straddled him. His glowing eyes widened as he watched me take his cock in hand and then slide onto it. “You need to remember that I'm no beta. I only played the role to satisfy you.”
Hands on his chest, I rode Wolf hard. His hands went to my waist and clutched me tightly as he grinned. Even alpha wolves like their mates to show some teeth.
“I don't want a lesser wolf,” he said.
“Neither do I.” I bent forward to kiss him, something that once made Wolf nervous.
Wolves don't kiss. They may lick at each other's faces, or nuzzle, but they don't kiss as people do. Of course, they don't. They're wolves. How would they even manage it? At first, Wolf was baffled by the act. Sex wasn't a problem, but kissing? He didn't see the point. But it was a person-thing, and Wolf wantedto experience everything people do. It took him a while to get the hang of it, but once he did, he excelled quickly. With talent came pleasure, and kissing became more than a path to orgasm for him. It was something that could be enjoyed before, during, and after the main event—an extension of pleasure.
Taking my face in his hands, Wolf lapped at my tongue and then flicked it. His mouth went soft as he moved it against mine, and then his hand moved away to clutch my back. Wolf musk enveloped us, and with a quick movement, he flipped me onto my back, still kissing me.
When he had me spread beneath him, Wolf lifted his head and watched my face as he entered me. “I love you.”
My eyebrows rose. Wolf didn't say that often.
“I love you too, Wolf.”
He grunted, satisfied with my answer, and sped up. Chuckling, I grabbed his shoulders and held on. His declaration made sense then—he wanted me to know he cared before he took me like an animal. Because he knew I needed that, as I knew he needed a wild mating. To be honest, so did I.
Only after the roars and screams ended, and Wolf nestled me against his chest, did his honey-colored eyes lose their glow. I looked up to find Trevor gazing down at me.
“I love you too, minn elska,” he whispered.
“And I love you, Trevor.” Content with my wolves, I snuggled up against them and fell asleep.
Chapter Twenty-Four
The next morning, Trevor and I had breakfast at the cabin and then shifted to wolves to run back to Pride Palace. I was nervous to shift after the night before, but both of us transformed back into our human forms without issue. We had left our clothes in the changing room near the pool and got dressed there before going inside.
The dining hall was full of werelions, and the sound of them talking sparked anxiety in me. I had shifted back fine, but I didn’t believe it was safe to shift, not even in the God Realm.
I motioned to Trevor to wait and then poked my head into the dining hall. “Good morning!”
A tide of “good mornings” came back to me.
“I don't want anyone shifting until this thing with the god machine is over. Trevor had some trouble shifting back last night, and I don't want any of you stuck as lions.”
The hall went silent.
Then Aidan asked, “Trevor had trouble shifting back? But he's the Froekn Prince.”
“Yes. He did fine this morning, but I don't want any of you taking that risk. Also, I'd like everyone to stay here for now. I know a lot of you have jobs in the Human Realm, butthere's some weird stuff going on there right now. If you work at Moonshine, you should be fine. Everywhere else is risky. It's up to you if you want to take that risk. I won't stop you, but I'd prefer it if you stayed home. This is only temporary. Tell the others.”
