As much asI hated to see Leo go, at least Dom disappeared with her. The house was quieter in their absence, and with Dom gone, I finally felt like I could breathe.

I wasn’t sure what had crawled up her ass, but one thing was clear; she wasn’t interested in answering any of my questions. If I wanted answers, I was going to have to find them myself. And I was running out of places in my little cage to search.

Except the South Wing…

Just the thought of that haunted old hallway sent a shiver down my spine. But it made sense, didn’t it? Why be so cagey about it if she wasn’t hiding something back there?

If she caught me there though… I shuddered to think what kind of hell there would be to pay. Would it be worth it, facing her rage head on, getting berated or kicked out or worse?

I wasn’t even sure exactly what I would be looking for. But the only way to find out its significance was to search it.

Spencer stood from the couch with a groan, shaking her head. “These Neanderthals can’t even be bothered to clean their own plates. It’s a wonder we don’t get pests around here.”

I laughed, raising an eyebrow. “Are we categorizing Dom as ‘not a pest.’”

Spencer chuckled, scooping up Dom’s plate. “Depends on the day. She has her moments.”

Standing, I moved to grab Leo’s plate, but not before Spencer snatched it out of my reach, and mine with it. “Nuh-uh, Bunny. You leave the cleaning to me.”

Stacking the plates haphazardly in one hand, she used the other to gestured to the doorway with a flourish. “Care to join me in the kitchen, m’lady?”

Giggling, I feigned a deep curtsey, “It would be my honor, good sir.”

As we traipsed into the kitchen, Spencer headed for the sink while I propped myself up on one of the counters. Munching on a leftover pain au chocolat, I let out a groan. “God, these things are delicious.”

“It’s not nice to tease me like that.” Spencer shook her head, rinsing off a plate before popping it into the dishwasher.

“Like what?” I giggled, lifting a hand to cover my mouthful of food.

“Like that,” she gestured to me. “You know how much I like watching you eat.”

“You have to be joking. What do you want me to do, stop eating in front of you?”

“I didn’t say that,” she growled, wiping her hands on a kitchen towel before pressing between my legs, caging me in on the counter with her muscular arms.

“Then what are you saying?” I raised an eyebrow, taking another bite of the pastry.

Her eyes flicked down between my legs as a mischievous grin tugged at her lips. “That I want a taste.”

“Then take it.” Matching her grin, I held the pastry up to her lips, shocked as she opened her mouth for a huge bite.

I laughed as she chewed. “Pretty good, right?”

“Mhm,” she murmured before swallowing. “But I can think of something that would taste even better.”

Before I could say another word, her right hand snaked into my hair, pulling me forward for a kiss while her left roamed over my thigh. Wasting no time with gentle teasing, Spencer’s kiss was deep and furtive and tasted of chocolate.

If her fervor was anything to go off of, she hadn’t been joking about wanting a taste of me. I wouldn’t have been surprised if she devoured me whole.

“Tell me,” she breathed against my lips.

“Tell you what?”

“How she took you. Leo.”

A nervous laugh bubbled from my chest. It was one thing tohavegay sex, and another entirely to talk about it with the other person I was fucking.

But it would be a lie to say the idea didn’t excite me.
