Biting my lip, I shrugged. “Cuddle. If you’re done, that’s okay.”

“Of course I want to cuddle you. Why would you think—?” Her gaze darkened as realization struck her. Shaking her head, she pulled me closer to her chest. “All I ever want is to have you close, Kiera. Getting to hold you is a gift. Only a real fucking idiot wouldn’t realize that. Got it?”

“Okay.” I lowered my gaze, nuzzling closer.

“Doyouwant this?”

“Of course,” I nodded, letting my palms rest fully against her skin.

“Good. Then come here.” She rolled onto her back, guiding my head to rest against her chest. Her body was warm as I molded myself against it. And the muscles that looked so hard in daily life were surprisingly relaxed as my hand drifted carefully over her body.

I wasn’t sure how long we lay like that, just that the small kisses she planted against my scalp sent tingles all the way down to my toes. I was surprised at how perfectly I fit against her, like our bodies had been perfectly sculpted for one another.

I could have fallen asleep just like that. But as I adjusted my leg, bringing it to rest over her hips, my thigh brushed against wet silicone, bringing me back to attention. “That can’t be comfortable. Do you want me to rinse that in the sink?”

Leo chuckled, pressing another kiss against my scalp. “It’s not as uncomfortable as you’d think. But you don’t need to clean a thing, Princess. That’s my job.”

Giving me a squeeze, she peered down at me. “You okay if I go deal with that now?”

“Yeah,” I nodded. She tilted my head up, giving me one more long, sensual kiss before freeing herself from the sheets and padding over to the en-suite. Watching her go, I pulled the blanket tighter around my shoulders, shocked by how instantly I missed her warmth.

As the tap ran in the other room, my mind drifted through the warm haze of feelings our encounter brought up. It was only my second time sleeping with a woman, and my two lovers couldn’t be any more different.

Whereas Spencer was furtive, eager, and pressing, Leo had been slow, steady, and assertive. I could tell that Leo was holding something back, some darker impulse that she feared I wasn’t ready for. But even in her gentleness, there was a firm confidence that made me want to submit to her every desire.

Despite how different my lovers were, the desire they drew from me was just as strong.

A few weeks ago, I was scared that I wouldn’t like it. But now, I’d unlocked a need so deep, so consuming, that I was afraid I might never get enough of it.

My thoughts were interrupted by a soft knock before the door swung open. As if she could smell my yearning, Spencer opened the door, balancing a tray of chocolates and treats in her other hand.

Her mouth was open to speak, but it quickly clamped shut as her eyes flicked from me — a disheveled mess in the bed — to the open bathroom door, where Leo was just turning off the tap. Her warm smile quickly shifted to something between disappointment and elation at what she’d just walked in on.

Sucking her teeth, she closed the door behind her. “Are you kidding me? How did I miss this?”

Leo laughed, drying her hands on a hand towel as she emerged from the bathroom. “You snooze, you lose, kid.”

“No fair,” Spence pouted, resting the tray in front of me as she came to sit on the bed. “You might have gotten here first, but at least I brought a gift.”

Leo smiled smugly as she came to rest on my opposite side, snagging a chocolate covered pretzel from the arrangement. “I think our little captive will attest that I gave her quite the gift a few minutes ago.”

“Don’t let it go to your head. I love chocolate, too.” I shot Spencer a smile as I nabbed a chocolate covered strawberry off of the tray. “Can I ask what I did to earn all this?”

Spencer shrugged, reaching for a Milk Dud. “Just figured chocolate always makes a bad night better.”

“It’s not a bad night,” I rolled my eyes. “How many times do I have to tell you two that I’m fine?”

Leo draped an arm around my shoulders, instantly enveloping me in her smokey scent. “Say it as many times as you like, it’s not going to stop us from checking on you.”

“Plus, it makes a good excuse for an impromptu sleepover.” Spencer waggled her eyebrows. “Dom can only bitch so much about us hanging around when your welfare’s on the line.”

Crossing my arms over my chest, I shook my head, “You two are absurd.”

But I couldn’t keep the smirk from my lips as they cozied up in my bed and ate snacks and chatted shit with me. Whatever scary shit they were capable of outside of this room, curled up on my bed and playing with my hair, they were docile little guard dogs. And I couldn’t deny that having them around did make me feel a bit safer.

Before long, the night grew dark and my lids grew heavy. I wasn’t sure which one of my saviors tucked me in, just that it was warm and cozy sandwiched between their bodies.

Behind me, Spencer mumbled into my hair as she placed a soft kiss on my temple. “I’m still salty about earlier. Wake me up if there’s an encore.”
