“Yep.” I smiled broadly, jiggling my head pointedly. “Like my hat?”

Dominic seemed to be fighting a laugh as he flicked a bell. “It’s…interesting.”

Max tugged Amy away, their mouths fusing together almost instantly. I watched wistfully, wishing I’d been able to greet Dominic the same way. He was two feet away from me, and somehow I could feel the heat of him. It was like there was a rope in my core, tugging me towards him.

But I couldn’t go.

“I like it,” I declared, tilting my chin, the bells merrily responding to the movement. “Maybe I’ll wear it for the rest of the weekend.”

Dom darted a quick glance at Max and Amy, checking they were occupied. Seeing they were, he took another step closer. “Really? The whole weekend?”

The rope tugged harder, begging me to touch. To feel. To hold. “Yep.”

“Hm.” He touched a bell again, but this time, his finger didn’t stop there. It trailed down to my temple, along my face and neck, until it found the dip between my collarbones. “Not sure it can make more noise than you do.”

I shifted the bag I was holding so it was in front of my crotch, hiding the evidence of what Dominic was doing to me. “I’ve always been quiet in the past.”

His finger moved along my collarbone, flirting with the collar of my shirt. “The pillow’s kept you quiet, Shadow.”

My tongue moistened my lip. “There won’t be a pillow tonight.”

Dom’s eyes darkened. “No, Ry. Damn fucking right there won’t be.”

Ryan

The reality of what we were about to do didn’t hit me until I was in our room at the B & B, staring at the bed.

The one bed.

Dominic came up behind me, his hands smoothing down my arms. “Relax. It’s not going to bite you and neither am I.”

I gestured at the double bed, stacked with frilly pillows and endless throws. I mean, it was July. Were the owners expecting a freak snowstorm that might necessitate all those layers? “It’s just…there’s only one bed.”

Dom smirked against my neck. “You do know that we’ve been sharing the same bed for our whole relationship, right?”

“I know.” I sagged back against him, letting his weight anchor me. “Sorry. Guess I’m just nervous.”

Dominic gently turned me to face him. “We don’t have to do anything tonight, Ryan.”

“But I want to.”

“Me too.” He dropped a kiss on the end of my nose. “But only when you’re ready, Shadow. It won’t be enjoyable for either of us if you’re not.”

I rested my forehead against his. “I am ready, I’m just…nervous.”

“Want me to make you less nervous and more horny?”

I laughed, some of the tension already easing. “The shit that comes out of your mouth sometimes. You have a talent, I swear.”

“How about we see if some of my other talents can relax you?”

A zip of excitement went through me. “Like what?”

Dominic stepped back, his eyes sparkling with amusement. Amusement and desire. “Go shower, Ryan. Thoroughly. Then maybe we’ll find out.”

My cock throbbed as I rushed to follow his orders. That was where the rushing stopped though. Despite my sudden desperation to get into the bed I’d been nervously eyeing mere moments ago, I didn’t skimp in the shower. I washed thoroughly, even sneaking out the douche I’d bought a few weeks ago.
