Eden
She loved that Benson called herangel, because she always felt like she was in heaven.
And with Liam loving on her, too?Who do I even start kissing?
They finally had a weekend to spend together again, and Eden was beside herself with excitement. (But only after chastising Benson for not telling her about his sister, who had a good prognosis after her accident.) After dinner in a fancy French restaurant that allowed them to have their own enclosed booth away from prying eyes, they planned to hit up a local lounge that specialized in fancy cocktails.
It was Liam and Benson’s idea, and for good reason. They wanted privacy to tell Eden somethingveryimportant: namely, that they were tentatively getting back together, and wanted her to be their third.
To Eden, this was obvious.I’ll refrain from telling them that they’re clearly meant to be together. That might be too much, especially for Benson, who could be chuffed about his life one minute and absolutely torn apart the next.As Liam would say… silly bastard.
One thing that they heavily implied without directly saying it was that they had hooked up – more than once – recently. Eden made sure that her wrinkled nose and furrowed brows were on full display as she sat between them in the circular booth.
“What?” Benson asked.
“Mm, I bet she’s into two guys getting it on,” Liam added.
“Duh!” Eden touched her hair, which she had worn up in an intricate bun for a change. The clasp was a bit heavy, and the way her hair pulled at her scalp was kinda uncomfortable, but she had a feeling she’d forget it later. “Invite me next time.”
“That’s the only problem with having a woman between us, love,” Liam said. “Very distracting from the other guy.”
“Are you telling me thatmybody is distracting you from this guy?”
“Duh!”
While Eden and Liam laughed, Benson sat on his side of the booth, perplexed.
“I think it’s great that you two are giving it a go again,” Eden sweetly said, nudging Benson beside her. “And I think it’s doubly great that my pussy could bring you two together.”
“It’s a bit more complicated than that…”
Eden leaned away from him and shielded her mouth as she whispered toward Liam, “Who’s the top?”
He likewise pretended to cover his mouth, but they both knew Benson heard them. “He likes to think he is.”
“Oooh,” Eden purred, still teasing Benson as he pretended to be more enthralled with his phone. “I like a man who can ‘switch’ it up.”
“I’m coming over there.” Benson pointed to Liam. “And killing you.”
“Like to see you try,big boy.”
The fact that Benson blushed but was all bluster only made it more fun.He likes it.Benson had to be dragged out of his shell, his comfort zone, like Eden had to be dragged out of her small box that dictated what was healthy sex. Liam had always been the most well-adjusted of the three of them, and Eden took full advantage of that as she rubbed his thigh under the table and quipped about them spinning the wine bottle to see who she blew through dinner first.
Obviously, she was not doing that in public, but the look on Benson’s face was worth it.
The jokes only continued at the lounge, where they shared a couch in the corner and had one fancy cocktail each. Eden tried both of her boyfriends’, but the point wasn’t to expand her liquor horizons – it was to be seen in public with the two men who couldn’t keep their hands off her. The only reason they hadn’t hit up The Dark Hour was because Benson said he wasn’t ready for that yet. This is way more public, dude.Eden didn’t mind. Her goal was to get Benson laughing before they left, and it happened when she told them about a Butterfly who needed the words “town pony” explained to her when it came up during orientation.
“It was the first time in my life we all justblaselysaid those kinds of things,” she exclaimed after hitting the bottom of her cocktail. “I literally said the wordbukkakein front of strangers, and nothing! Nobody laughed, giggled, or blushed! It was sooo surreal.”
“You’re gonna have to explain that one to me, love,” Liam said behind her. “I’ve never heard of this one before.”
“Oh,uh-huh!”
They got just handsy enough that Liam declared it was time to go before they got kicked out for PDA. Apparently, they had already agreed to go over to his place that night, and while Eden expressed curiosity – after all, Benson’s place was closer – Liam told her on the way out that Drew was back in town and they wanted to avoid an awkward, unannounced drop-by.
“A little more thanawkward!” she exclaimed. “That’s his daughter!”
They piled into Liam’s car, since he was the only one who drove that night. And, indeed, Eden realized that he had the least amount of alcohol of them all that night, and that she had drunk most of his cocktail.
