“How the hell would you know? You haven’t taken your eyes off your wife’s chest since you walked through the gate.”

“I see you guys are getting along like normal,” Tessa said sarcastically as she walked by with a bowl of coleslaw.

“He started it, honey.I’m just standing here doing what you told me to do,” Devon called after her, smiling when she laughed.

Grant rolled his eyes.“Real mature, butthead.”

“Look who’s talking, dipshit.”

“Mom, Dad just cussed,” shouted Devon and Tessa’s five-year-old son, Cole.

“Devon, watch your mouth,” Tessa yelled across the yard.

Grant snorted under his breath as he walked away, ignoring Devon’s insults.“How’re my girls doing?”he said, sitting next to Jennifer on a padded bench under the tree.

Jennifer laughed.“She’s doing really well.”

Grant reached one arm around the back of the bench, and the other cupped the back of his six-month-old daughter’s head as she nursed from her mother’s breast.

“I wasn’t just talking about our daughter,” he said, bending forward to nuzzle his lips against Jennifer’s neck.

Jennifer chuckled, and her eyes slid closed as she tilted her head to the side to give him better access.“I’m doing fine.Better since you came and sat with me.”

Grant’s hand slid to Jennifer’s thighs, moving in slow circles just under the hem of her short summer dress.

Jennifer’s breath rasped out.“Um, Grant,” she warned even as she moved against him for better contact.

His lips slid behind her ear before his teeth gently bit her earlobe, making a groan tear from her throat.“What, baby?”he asked with a smile.

“Mmmm...”

Grant laughed.“Mmmm is right. You are the best-tasting thing in the world, and I need more of you.”

“You just had me this morning.”

“Has that ever stopped me from wanting more?Tonight, I’m taking your ass,” he murmured against the side of her head.He smiled against her neck when she shivered in arousal. His hand slid a little higher as his mouth took hers in a drugged kiss, as his daughter drank her fill from her mother.

“You two need to get a room,” Devon yelled. He laughed, then grunted when Tessa elbowed him in the stomach.

Grant tore his mouth from her.“Jesus.When am I going to get enough of you?”

“I hope never,” she said in a breathless voice.

He stroked a thumb over her cheek.“It will take a few lifetimes, I think.”

Jennifer reached up and ran her fingers along his jaw, where his five-o’clock shadow was starting to show.“You are the sweetest man I know.”

Grant growled.“Don’t say that too loud, or Devon won’t ever shut up about it.You know you’re the only one who thinks that.”

Jennifer laughed.“I love you, Grant.”

Grant laid a sweet kiss on her lips.“I love you, too, baby.Forever.”

The emotional spell was broken when Devon bellowed across the yard.“Lunchtime, people.”

Grant helped Jennifer wipe the baby’s mouth and held her until Jennifer could fasten her maternity bra and button up her dress. He wrapped an arm around Jennifer’s waist and held his daughter in his other arm.Life could not get any more perfect than it is at this moment, he thought.

“Let’s go, lovebirds. You keep that shit up, and Jennifer will be pregnant again.”
