Chapter Two
Ax fidgeted in theback seat.Tekumi and Drift were in the front of Drift’s truck. They pulled up outside a wide house, and she tried to calm herself so she didn’t make a run for it.Hector came out of the house wearing loose trousers and a muscle tee.His bright grin was unmistakable.“Ax!You actually made it.”
Ax had to wait until Drift opened the door, and then she got up and went to meet Hector. He was vibrating with excitement.Hector hugged her tight and buried his face in her shoulder.“I love the way you smell.”
She blinked. She could feel the love.It was pressing into her pelvis.“This is a little overwhelming.”
He smiled.“Two alphas and you?I can manage it.”
“I mean for me, dumbass.”
He blinked.“Oh.Right.Sorry.How did this get sprung on you?”
“My sister squealed and told them that we were a match. So, I ended up with two alphas, and then she mentioned that I knew an omega who might balance our gathering.I thought of you.”
He touched her cheek, and she felt the smooth silk with the rough calluses from weightlifting.“I think of you.Constantly.Come on.Let’s meet the bullies.”
Drift chuckled.“We are not bullies. We are excited and hopeful.I am Drift, and this is Tekumi.”
Hector’s eyes went wide.“Wow.You shop for size.”
Ax slapped her hand over her eyes.“It isn’t so much shopping as having matches that feel right at first sight.”
Hector smiled slyly.“And you thought of me?”
She looked at the man who was only slightly taller than her beta height.“Out of the five omegas I know, you are the only one I would invite between my thighs.”
Hector’s eyes got heavy.“That is quite the image.”
“Oh, you have no idea. This isn’t my actual shape, by the way.Nor is that Tekumi’s.Do you want your neighbours to see, or shall we go inside?”
Hector looked around and said, “They would need binoculars, but come on in.”
He kept a grip on her hand and pulled her into the warm and inviting scent that filled his house.
Hector was giddy and pulled her into his house and toward a recliner. He had the enthusiasm of a large puppy.“So, what do you look like?”
Tekumi shifted first, and while Hector was staring at him, Ax took a deep breath and rose to her full djinn height.
Hector turned toward her and let out a soft, “Wow.”
Drift said softly, “I know, right?”
Tekumi reached out and touched her shoulder. Her clothing turned into a fluttering black gown that clung to every curve.
He touched her ponytail, and her hair swung heavily down to her elbows.
