I managed to get my knee in position to knee him right in the balls, but he caught me and rolled me over. He shoved my arms up over my head, and I was suddenly seized by Tully.
“Don’t think I won’t knock your scrawny little ass out if you keep fighting.” He clutched my wrists tight. “Stop moving,or I’ll tie your ass to a chair for the day.”
Dante moved away from me, climbed off the bed, and left the room, only to return with a bundle of red rope. Tully shoved me down on the bed. I flew back up, but it was enough to catch me off guard and for Tully to grab me again, this time with a firmer hold around my chest. I stared at Dante as he unraveled the rope. My expression caused him to laugh.
“Tully’s store has just about everything.”
“You did not.” I glared at them, but there was little I could do since Tully had me in a fucking bear hug of sorts. He stood us up, and I tried to push out of his grasp, but he was strong and spun me around, pushing me back onto the bed.
Before I could fight them off, Tully had me on my back, spread-eagled as he sat on my chest. Dante grabbed my wrists and quickly attached me to the frame. I kicked and snarled at Tully as Dante went under the bed and popped out the other side, handing him the rope.
He pulled it tight to my chest as I fought them, but they ignored me.
“You’re good at this,” I muttered as they did another lap under the bed and around my chest. He hadn’t done just normal knots. It was almost a braiding technique.
“I’m into Shibari,” Dante responded.
“I could have gone my whole life without knowing how good you are at this.”
Dante chuckled. “That fucking mouth of yours. Always getting you into trouble.”Tightening the rope.
“My mouth had nothing to do with this,” I snapped and tried to fight the restraints to no avail.
“Didn’t it? Maybe if you hadn’t been so overly protective over her,I wouldn’t have wanted to push it.” Tully stood once they had secured me from my hips up and climbed off the bed to let Dante continue tying up the rest of my body.
Tully crossed his arms over his chest and grinned at me from the sidelines.
“Why did you do this? Because I was happy?”
Tully’s smug smile fell from his face, and an angry snarl took its place. “You don’t get to be special, baby brother. I wasn’t allowed to be happy. Why should you?”
Ludovica.
Guilt hit my stomach for only a moment before I steeled myself again. His heartache was no excuse for doing this to me. To us.
“Look, you wanna go after the chick after the sun goes down, by all means. But we can’t let you die on our watch. Corrine will have our ass.” Dante stood, and Tully followed suit.
“Maybe take this time to think things through. Figure out where she could have gone, what you’re going to do when you get to her, all that jazz.” Tully yawned and turnedtowardthe door.
“This is all because of you. I fucking hate you.” I lifted my head and spat. Tully turned back to me and raised an eyebrow.
“Really? Because you two were fighting before you got here, am I wrong? And why was that, exactly, Desiderio?” He sauntered slowly to me with his hands in his pockets. I flinched when he bent down over the bed, getting his face inches in front of mine. “Is it maybe because you got involved with a total stranger?”
A shiver went through me, but I refused to look away from him. He wanted that. I was not going to let him win.
“What are you talking about?”I lifted my head to see the room.
He smirked and stood back up, taking a few steps back. He paced the room while Dante chose to pull up another chair off to the side. Toulouse put his hands behind his back and walked back and forth pensively.
“I heard about your past. Before you turned. You were gonna be married off to a rich Bloodborn girl. A good breeding match, sources say.”
“Who?” I demanded.
“Sources. Don’t worry about it,” he snapped.
“You dropped the rich bitch for a human you barely knew. Then, she turned, and you thought you’d get your family on board with it after the curse was broken. How’d that go, Amato?”
I clenched my jaw but said nothing. He laughed.
