“A girl. I still can’t believe it. I’m going to have to buy dresses, and sit and have tea parties,” he chuckled.
“Yeah, but you’ll also get to do the whole protective dad thing when she grows up, and the daddy daughter dances. Jimmy and Ethan were adorable last year.”
“That could be fun.”
We rocked quietly for a bit, enjoying each other's company.
“I hope she looks like you,” he said.
“I think she’ll look like you more. Your features are more dominant.”
“She. We can officially say that now. She. Ha, and we kept calling her he this whole time. Go figure.”
“I don’t care what she looks like I guess, as long as she loves rock music.” I turned my head to gaze at my handsome husband.
“How can she not? She’s going to grow up with a family of musicians. Not just the adults, she’s got two extremely talented cousins to look up to. Who knows, maybe even three if they get Rocky a guitar.”
“True. It’d be fun to have another drummer in the family. I could really get into that.”
I yawned and decided it was time for bed. Sitting up I stopped the chair and pulled him up. We did one more walk around the room, tracing the crib and dressers with my fingers. “They really made this room perfect. It’s fit for a princess,” I commented as we left the room.
“Princess, maybe that’s what I’ll call her.” I laughed and headed into our room.
“You just might have to. Princess is better than Balboa.”
