“Fuck this shit.” Pushing himself away from the counter, he stormed out.
“I know the nigga don’t make it easy, but Moose is solid, and you can trust him.” Kong vouched for his brother.
“What about you? Are you solid? Can my sister trust you?” Inari interrogated.
“This ain’t about me and Ayla. I care about her. Enough to walk away. Ain’t that what you wanted?” he asked, brows bunching together as his dark orbs bounced around hers.
“At the end of the day, Kong, it’s not about what I want.” Inari grabbed her glass and shuffled away.
“It’s freezing out here!” Coast hugged herself as her teeth chattered from the blistering cold.
Slipping out of his jacket, Mozzi placed it across her shoulders. He pulled her closer by the lapels and kissed her slow and deliberate, taking his time before their tongues met, and Coast released a hungry moan. She locked her arms around his back, and Mozzi cuffed her chin before gently pecking her plump bottom lip and nudging away.
“You a hot girl. You good,” he teased, a sexy smile crinkling his amber flecked eyes.
It was damn sure cold, but it was also quiet out there. Snow fell in light, barely noticeable flakes around them. Coast lifted her head to look at the sky and hugged his coat around her.
“What are you up to?” she asked, heart racing when she focused on him and squinted.
Mozzi swept his tongue across his lips, and Coast’s middle throbbed. Everything about him excited and aroused her, but those lips had carried her to heaven many times in the last few months.
“First of all, I don’t do this type of shit. And… I talked to Wade a minute ago about what I was planning, so he gave his approval.” He went into the pocket of his pants and pulled out a small box.
Coast’s breathing sharpened.
“But I’m not letting you drift out of my life like you temporary for me, because you’re not.”
“Moses.” She gasped when he cracked the box open.
The white gold band was lined with diamonds, and in the center, a 14-karat oval shaped diamond surrounded by another cluster. Not only did the ice blind her, but so did her tears as she looked at the ring then up into his handsome face.
“I’m not asking for perfection, Trouble. And not just because of this baby or none of that. I’m asking for you. Every part of you. Will you marry me?”
Her knees weakened, and for a moment, the only sound came from the wind blowing and snow hitting their surroundings as it grew heavier. Smiling, Coast blinked back tears.
“Yes!” she squealed, throwing her arms around him.
With her hands on the nape of his neck, she drew him in for another kiss. Both of his strong hands cuffed her ass, givingit a squeeze before his tongue brushed against hers. When they parted for air, Coast couldn’t contain the grin on her face. Mozzi swept his hand over her cheek, and something out of the corner of his eye caught his attention. Inari stood at the glass French doors with Desiree, Marina, Wade, and Kara with her face pushed against the glass. Inari filmed the whole thing with a huge grin plastered across her face.
“Look at these nosy mufuckas.” Mozzi nodded past Coast, and she glimpsed everyone over her shoulder.
“Congratulations!” Inari cheered and clapped on the other side of the door.
With his arm around her, Mozzi ushered Coast back inside where Inari jumped up and down like a fool.
“Let me see the ring!” She immediately grabbed Coast’s hand to inspect the diamond. “Mozzi, you have impeccable taste.”
Before he could respond, his cell phone went off in his pocket, and he went to retrieve it. He’d been expecting this call, so he excused himself from everyone to take it.
“Tell me something good, Clue.”
“I got your package on ice,” his enforcer informed him.
Mozzi grinned wickedly and swiped his beard, watching Coast be the center of attention as everyone loved on her and admired the ring he’d put on her finger. The news he received was only going to make this night even more perfect.
“Say less. Keep him there.” After hanging up, he shoved the phone back into the pocket of his slacks and returned to the kitchen.
“You picked this ring out by yourself?” Desiree asked, holding Coast’s hand up and admiring the ice.
