“Fuck you.” Mozzi shrugged him off. “That wasn’t an invite to pull up either, nigga.”
“Shit, we was hungry too.” Moose pulled out the chair beside Mozzi for Inari to sit down, and he joined Kong on the other side of the table.
“Should you and Coast even be out right now?” Inari asked.
“As you can see, they both stubborn as fucking mules. Clearly, a bullet ain’t stopping shit.” Moose picked up a menu.
Coast had to sample everything, with Kara and Kyro co-signing right along with her. Ayla being the chef that she was didn’t mind the palate cleanser either. She’d been cooking for over a week and was glad for the break to indulge in someone else’s skills. While she and Inari enjoyed strawberry mimosas, Coast tried their St. Germain Spritz mocktail. The spread of crepes and other pastries with either fruit or some kind of ham and egg mix left them all stuffed.
The waiter brought over the tab, and Kong charged it all to his Black card with a hefty tip. Their table hadn’t exactly been church mice during their meal, so he thought he’d compensate for it. Coast’s vibe bounced right off Inari and Ayla. No one would have ever guessed that she’d only met them last week. Kyro switched seats with Inari and joined his father and uncles at their table, claiming women talked too much.
“Inari, are you okay? I heard about what happened at the auction house,” Coast spoke up.
“Girl, I’m fine.” Inari waved a hand. “I’ve been through worse. I’m more concerned about this investigation. I can’t lose my job. As of this morning, I am on a sabbatical until further notice.”
Moose eavesdropped a bit on the conversation. Guilt plagued him as he listened to her worries, knowing it was his fault.
“So, what are you going to do with yourself?”
“I don’t know. Catch up on my trash TV, harass my son, and stay on his ass. Did you get the catalogue from the college?”
“Nah, was too busy getting shot.” Coast scrunched up her nose.
“Why don’t we go Monday? I can go through it with you, and we can see what you’re interested in or what’s the best fit for you.”
“I think that would be a big help. Thanks,” Coast agreed.
Ayla’s gaze drifted off sometime during the conversation as she watched Kong chat with his brothers. Images of them all night still danced in her head. Inari and Coast laughed about something, but she’d tuned them out. She closed her eyes and shuddered just thinking about all the ways he’d made her cum. With sex like that for her first time, he was bound to turn her into a fucking nymphomaniac.
“Lala, where the hell you at?” Inari bumped her shoulder against hers.
“What?” She snapped out of her daze and faced her sister.
“Okay, what is wrong with you? You been spaced out since I got here.” Inari squinted.
“Nothing.” Ayla picked up the last of her mimosa and tossed it back. “I’m gonna go use the bathroom.” She rushed to her feet before her sister had a chance to stop her.
Kong peeped her sudden movements and subtly excused himself from the table. He’d been thinking about her since waking up this morning. He knew if he slept in her bed, he’d want to wake up inside her, so he snuck out while she was sleeping and showered in his own room before going back to sleep. His dick was already begging to slide back into her snug well. Creeping into the hallway where both facilities were, he stopped and leaned against a wall with his foot propped against it to wait for her. When Ayla exited and found him waiting, a flirtatious smirk teased the corners of his mouth.
“What are you doing?”
Hooking his finger through the loop of her jean skirt, he pulled her toward him with his teeth nipping at his bottom lip.
“C’mere.” He rested a hand on her waist and used her body to close the space between them. “You been thinking about me?”
“Maybe.” Ayla toyed with him. “You been thinking about me?”
“Damn right.” He smothered her mouth with his in a heated kiss.
Ayla engaged in a dirty, sloppy exchange that made a mess in her panties. Feeling Kong’s dick against her thigh, she melted into his strong frame.
“Mmm.” A soft moan escaped against his lips. “We should go back home and take a nap.”
“I told the kids we’d take them to the park.” His lips lowered to her neck before he pulled back to look into her glittering eyes. “Just for an hour or so.”
Ayla liked that he’d been trying lately to be a more present father. She saw how busy he was with work, but he was learning to carve out time for them. It wasn’t a complete turnaround, but they were making progress. Kara was going to be spoiled no matter how the dice rolled considering she was the only little girl amongst a bunch of men. Kyro had resorted to raising hell mostly at school now.
“I guess I can’t argue with that.”
