“I’m starving. That’s good, right?” Coast teased with her brows lifted.
“Very good.” Dr. Roche chuckled. “Let me check your blood pressure after this, and you should be good to go. If you experience any dizziness, spotting, or the pain level increases, do not hesitate to reach out to me.”
“Thank you.” Coast smiled and let him do his thing.
Once he was done, he packed up his medical bag and left the two of them alone and she pulled the t-shirt over her head. Mozzi put his blunt out in the ashtray and placed his feet on the ground. She admired his abs and the way his boxers hung off his waist. A cocky smirk filled his face when he caught her eyes roaming his frame. Mozzi stroked some of her wild hair behind her ear.
“I’m gonna shower, and we can head downstairs to see what’s up for breakfast.”
“Okay.” She observed him walking away, and the minute the bathroom door shut behind him, she hopped up to grab his phone.
It wasn’t locked, which surprised her as she swiped to his call log first. He didn’t have names in his phone. Everyone was under a letter. R, L, and G had been blowing him up and leaving messages. His text notifications showed he had over one hundred that he hadn’t even read. Curiosity got the best of her, and the sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach told her to stop there, but she tapped on the message icon anyway. She was stillholding the phone when another one came through from G, so she was able to read it without addressing the thread and tipping him off.
G: This game is over, Mozzi! Call us back!
Nostrils flaring, she hit the button on the side to secure his device again before tossing it back on the bed. She’d put up with too much from Sipes to be walking into some polyamorous situation with her eyes wide open. She hated doubting Mozzi, but clearly, he hadn’t completely cut those bitches off. Instead of dwelling on it, Coast took a beat and decided to get ready. There was a tap at the bedroom door when he emerged from the bathroom. She’d slicked her hair back into a ponytail, but all her clothes were scattered between Bee and Mozzi’s places, so she was stuck with his oversized attire.
Standing at the mirror coating her lips with gloss, the door to his room propped open, and Ayla poked her head in. Coast couldn’t put her finger on it, but something was different about her. She spotted the shirt and shorts in her hands along with a pair of sneakers and fresh socks.
“Hey, I thought maybe you could use these.”
“Oh, thank you so much.” She accepted the pile from Ayla, who lingered in the doorway.
She briefly eyed Mozzi but turned her attention back to Coast since he was only in a towel.
“What’s for breakfast?” he queried, stopping at his dresser for fresh underwear.
“Um, Kong decided to take me and the kids out for brunch. You realize it’s like noon, right?” Ayla scrunched up her face.
“Where y’all going?” Mozzi let the towel slip off his frame, showing his toned ass as he slipped into his pair of boxers.
Coast caught a glimpse of his dick swinging, and even on soft, the nigga had some length. She and Ayla both stood in shock at how nonchalantly he undressed before them. He had nothing tobe ashamed of, and she’d caught a few old scars on his legs that she wondered about, but not too long as he moved around.
“Um…Soiree.” Ayla slammed her eyes shut, trying to block the image as he slipped into his boxers.
When she popped them open, she and Coast shared a stare and tried not to grin like two little schoolgirls who’d never seen dick before.
“Bet. They got a cool menu.”
“Well, I guess we know why he has three girlfriends,” Ayla kidded.
“Fuck outta here,” Mozzi snarled.
Snickering, she backed out of the room and closed the door behind her. Coast spun toward Mozzi, pressing her back against his dresser as he moved toward his closet. He seemed preoccupied, so she trailed him over to the solid dark oak door and followed him inside.
“You want to just roll with them and get something to eat?” he asked, yanking a pair of jeans off a hanger and grabbing a graphic t-shirt from a drawer and a hoodie from another hanger.
“That’s fine. Unless you have something else you need to do.” Coast leaned against the frame of his door and tucked her arms across her chest.
Mozzi slipped his legs into his jeans one at a time and pulled them around his waist. She liked that he didn’t wear skinny jeans or sag. She hated that shit. He pulled his t-shirt over his head next. After choosing the latest Gamma Blue Jordan 11s, he took position on a nearby tufted bench to put them on.
“What’s on your mind, Trouble?” he asked, sensing that she had something on her chest as he eased his foot into his right shoe first.
“Maybe all the missed calls and unread messages on your phone.”
Sighing, Mozzi shook his head and put his other shoe on. He left his phone out on purpose. He wanted to know what type of time Coast was on. Most women couldn’t resist going through a nigga’s phone, and he didn’t lock his shit with her. Lin and the others were a different story, but Gill was an expert at cracking codes and shit. Mozzi never minded because he didn’t give a fuck about their feelings. Things were different with Coast. How she felt and what she thought meant something to him. He didn’t like it, but he was growing to accept it.
“Keywords. Missed and unread.” He stood slowly and walked over to the island in his closet that housed a bunch of accessories, different jewelry pieces like watches, bracelets, and diamond chains.
