“Can you just give me a minute?” she asked me.

I didn’t want to feel like I was attacking her, or crowding her personal space, especially while she needed a minute to take this all in. At the same time, I didn’t want her to go through this shit alone.

I wanted to be able to grant her the wish that she asked me for, and just give her a little time to herself, even if it was only five minutes.

Before I stood up, I kissed her on her forehead, grabbed my phone, and I went in the room. Riot’s phone was on the dresser, and the second I walked in, you could hear it ringing. Multiple phone calls kept coming through, and I’m sure it was her people calling her about the video because just like I knew about it, they probably found out about it as well.

I took a seat at the foot of the bed, and from where I was sitting, I could see out of the patio door. She was still sitting where I’d left her, with her head hung low. I already knew that that video was going to wake up a different kind of beast in Riot. Yeah, she was going to dwell on this shit for a little bit, probably even be sad about it for a while, but I knew she would handle her business when the time came. I just prayed that I was patient enough and I didn’t get at that bitch Cam before Riot got the chance to do it.

Chapter 11

Montrell ‘Mook’ Brown

“You don’t even try to do that shit in private anymore. You just all out in the open with it now, Mook. If you going to do that, please take that shit outside on the balcony, or go in your fuckin car and do it. That shit has a smell. I don’t need people coming over to my house, thinking that I’m snorting coke!” Esha snapped, coming from her bedroom.

I was up front in her living room, stressed out like a motha fucka, which is why I pulled the coke out that was in my pockets, lined that shit up right here on her table, and I sniffed it.

Esha was cool. She was one of the girls that cooked up dope for Dolo. She worked at one of the trap houses. She’s been working for Dolo for about three years now. We’ve been silently fuckin off and on for about two years. I was so sneaky the way that I moved with her, so no one knew that the two of us were involved with one another. She was sneaky as well because she never told anyone about it either. Crazy because the main reason why we never said anything about it is because Dolo had a relationship clause within his organization, which was him not allowing employees to fuck around with each other. He said that that’s how shit within the business would get messy. Nigga brokehis own fuckin rule because look at the shit that him, and Riot were doing. That’s the stuff that I be talking about when I call him a hypocrite. He could break the rules, but we couldn’t.

“Man don’t come out here with that bullshit. Open a window, burn a candle, and the smell will be out in no time,” I snapped, wiping my nose, and the little coke that was left in the baggie, I just went ahead, and stuffed it in my pocket.

I wasn’t sure if I had become trusting of Esha, or if I was at a point where I was getting sloppy, that I didn’t care who I went around snorting coke around.

Esha opened a couple of the windows, and she burned a candle just like I told her to do. Once she did that, she came over to the couch, where I was, and she flopped down next to me. Her body was turned to me, as she pressed her back into the arm of the chair. With her legs pulled up, her gaze was fixated on me, and I’m not sure if I was too deep in my head, but it felt as if she was looking at me with disappointing eyes.

“I don’t like seeing you go out like this, Mook. I understand that your hurt because of the shit that happened between you, and Dolo, but seriously, what do you think is going to come out of you abusing coke like this? Niggas that do coke don’t typically have happy endings. I know because I watched my mom abuse it for years, now her ass is out of her fuckin mind, living up under a bridge somewhere. This ain’t how shit gotta end for you. You still got a lot of money. You was eating good with Dolo. Use that money and start up your own shit. You don’t have to even be a part of the drug game. This Miami. It’s so many hustles you can have. Strip club, car rental company, it’s so many other avenues that you can go,” Esha said to me, and I sucked my teeth, not really wanting to hear that.

“I appreciate you for trying to look out, but I swear I don’t want to hear that. This don’t have anything to do with money. Like you said, my pockets are good. I was eating good with Dolo. It’s the principal with me. I feel like bruh didn’t even give me a second chance. I watched niggas that work for him fuck up in ways that I feel were worse than what I was doing. Let’s take Diego for example. Man, who the fuck was sloppier than him? All the chances he gave that nigga. I have one little fuck up, and he get rid of me like that. Nah man. I don’t like that,” I voiced, and when I said that, she nodded.

“What’s your plan then? You can’t go to war with Dolo. That’ll be going to war with the entire MBM. You out numbered. That’s like committing suicide,” she told me.

“I don’t know what my plan is right now. I do know that I want death for that nigga. I’m sorry but I ain’t got the maturity to just turn the other cheek. Dolo violated me. Brought me into that room for a meeting, thinking that it was a meeting for the business. Nigga aired out my dirty laundry in front of everybody and then stripped me from my position. You think that kind of shit is forgivable? Nah. He gotta answer to that,” I spat. You could hear the coldness in each word that I spoke. I knew that Esha didn’t agree with what I was saying, but she kept quiet.

For about ten minutes, we sat in silence.

“What’s new though? Any changes been happening within the business?” I asked her. When I asked that question, she laughed.

Esha was a pretty ass girl. Nice, dark-skinned barbie. Body was flawless. Shit, before we even started fuckin with each other, I already had the opportunity of seeing her naked because since she worked at the trap, and was responsible for cooking up dope, she had to prance around without any clothes on. I used to be at the trap house, damn near daydreaming, looking at her body.

I used to think that she was going to be the one that Dolo fucked around with because just knowing past bitches that he’s messed with, I could say that Esha was his type. Dolo loved a natural pretty bitch, with a banging ass body. That’s why whenhe decided to fuck with Riot, I was confused. Don’t get me wrong, Riot was pretty as a motha fucka, but she wasn’t the body type that he typically went after.

Dolo and Esha never crossed that line. It was strictly business between the two of them. I was the one to cross the line with her, and I didn’t have any regrets about it because the pussy, and the head on her was amazing.

“I can’t be telling you that kind of shit, Mook. I’m going to feel like I’m a sell out,” she voiced, and I sucked my teeth at that shit.

“Man, I don’t fuck with none of them niggas. Whatever you tell me, who the fuck I’m going to tell it to?” I asked her.

She looked at me for a little bit, and you could tell that she was trying to decide whether she could trust me. It took her about two minutes to sigh, and then she started running her mouth.

“So, one of the latest things is that Dolo took most of dem 9 boyz corner boys, and he brought them over to us, and now he’s made them his corner boys. It’s literally only a matter of time before dem 9 boyz finds out about it, and they retaliate. At first, I didn’t think that it was a good idea that Dolo did that, but he has them young niggas so shook, that I don’t think we have to worry about them crossing him. Riot’s position changed too. Last week, he had her coming to the traps, checking on us, doing pickups, and shit like that. I thought that I wasn’t going to like her. I thought that she would have a cockiness to her because she’s fuckin with Dolo, but she’s cool. You heard about the shit that happened with her?” she asked, and I raised an eyebrow because I didn’t know what she was talking to.

“Nah. I been in my own world. What happened with her?” I inquired.

“Man, somebody leaked videos of the shit that she was enduring in jail. It happened last weekend. Shit went viral, andpeople still been talking about it online. We haven’t seen her since the videos got out. They was in there jumping her,” she told me, and I was shocked to hear that.

“I didn’t see it. You got videos?” I asked, dying to see this shit.

I don’t think that there would be another person that was more excited to see Riot get her ass beat as much as I would be.
