Tossing her stuff together, I gave only a cursory glance to the small handgun nestled between the layers of clothes as I threw everything back in the suitcase. I dragged her crap into the other bedroom that faced the pool instead of the ocean and had the slightly smaller bathroom.

Then I walked back to my chosen room, stripping down completely naked, and jumped onto the bed, pulling just enough of a throw blanket over my hips to hide my junk.

I waited, enjoying the feel of the high thread count cotton comforter against my ass and back, until the sound of the front door whining open and clicking closed greeted my ears.

Footsteps padded through the suite, beelining to the bedroom I was in. I’d left the door wide open, though now I sort of wished I’d closed it to catch Katya more off guard.

“What in the ever-loving fuck do you think you’re doing?” she gasped out, wide-eyed at my nakedness. She looked around the room, hunting for her things. “Where the hell are my bags?”

“In the second bedroom,” I shrugged against the pillows, tossing my arms up and folding my hands beneath my head casually.

“I had clearly settled into this room, Nik.” She frowned, eyes back on my body, gaze hesitating over my hard-won abs and chiseled pecs.

“Oh, had you?” I frowned. “It didn’t look like it. The bed wasn’t slept in. That’s the mark of a room claiming, Kat.”

“Don’t call me Kat,” she bit out quickly, hating the shortening of her name.

“Okay, Kitty Kat,” I pressed, using the nickname I’d taunted her with since we were kids.

“I’m so sick and tired of your bullshit, Nik. Get the fuck out of my room.” She took a step forward, hands balling into fists, hot pink nails biting into her skin.

“Put the claws away, Kitty Kat.” I sat up, and the throw blanket over my dick bunched up to reveal even more skin. “You want this bed back?” I reached down to pick up the blanket and move it away from my body. “I’ll happily get up.”

She held a hand up in front of her, palm facing me, to block her view. “God, don’t show me that thing. Knowing you, it’s infected with an STD and looks like a rotten, putrid pork loin.”

“That’s right,” I nodded, “And that rotten, putrid pork loin has already touched every inch of this bed.” I moved my hips, rubbing my ass against the comforter.

“God, you’re disgusting.” She dropped her hand, a frown line wrinkling between her eyebrows. “Keep the room. I don’t want whatever diseases you have.” She whirled around in a huff, thong bikini bottom disappearing between her tanned, plump ass cheeks, and she stormed off to her new room. “Worst vacation ever,” she muttered before slamming her bedroom door.

I wanted to laugh, but she was right. So far, even the blissful heat and white sandy beaches of Fiji couldn’t make things feel nice and normal. Alexander had changed, seemingly overnight, and I’d been kicked to the curb. And now I had to share a resort suite with Princess Bitch herself.

She wasn’t going to be too thrilled when I brought my conquests back here. When I fucked a girl, she screamed and came over and over again until her body couldn’t take anymore. I grinned at the thought, dropping back down against the soft bedding.

Who cared if Katya was mad? Let her hear what she was missing by being a royal pain in the ass.

Despite Alexander’s betrayal and the change of rooms, I became determined to enjoy every second of this vacation. More the better if it drove my arch nemesis in the next room nuts.

Chapter Four

Katya

Dinner was a noisy affair. Everyone seemed to be in high spirits. Everyone but Nikolai and I anyway. We were both sitting at the end of the long table with Marisha, Alexander’s girlfriend, taking pride of place next to him. Though Nik tried his best to hide his annoyance at not being sat with Alex, it was obvious that this dynamic change in relationship had hit him hard.

I sat back against the chair, crossing my arms and smirking at my mother as my breasts pushed together and threatened to spill out of the lightweight blouse. No one else noticed my tiny defiance. Not even Nik, who basically had a boob radar built into his body. Nope. He was focused on the future Bratva King. Alexander might be my brother by birth, but he was Nik’s brother by blood. They’d forged their bond through violence, loyalty, and a shared love of carnal sins. It was unbreakable. Or so I’d always thought.

But now here was Nik sitting opposite me, a hurt little boy, and there was his best friend drooling over a woman and acting like he’d moved to another dimension.

Alexander and Nikolai had been inseparable since birth. Nikolai’s mother had been my mother’s best friend and playdates and joint birthday parties had always been a thing. Despite Alex and I being twins and it being my birthday too, I’d never even got a say in the theme or if I wanted to share, it was just the way things were. Looking at Nik now, his chiseled jawline and dark eyes glancing over at where Marisha sat next to Alex, I almost felt sorry for him.Almost.

I’d had enough pirate cakes and ninja themed birthdays to still be too bitter to give him any real sympathy. Would it have killed them to have a princess party? They’d both had longer hair as boys and would have looked quite good in pink dresses and sparkly tiaras.

Eduard stood, tapping his silver spoon against the side of his glass to draw everyone’s attention to him. When all eyes were on him he smiled and I couldn't help but smile back. Father didn’t smile often back home, unless his focus was completely on my mother, who always seemed to bring out the gentler side of him. I understood though. He was the feared Bratva King and appearances were everything, but here in this place, he smiled more easily, relaxing finally as if the blue ocean and white sand beaches were enough to truly make him forget the bloodshed. He looked down at my mother with love, affection and respect in his eyes, placing a hand on her shoulder and she reached up to touch her fingertips to his.

“I just want to thank you all for being here. This year has been hard won, what with traitors in our midst and deals falling through, but we have won it in the end--”

Mother tsked him. “No business on holiday, Eduard, you promised.”

He chuckled and patted her hand. “Yes, yes, I did, but a small amount of business talk is necessary.” He looked over at Alexander and Marisha with a satisfied look. “Alexander, my first born, and heir to our kingdom, has finally found himself a woman, and though she may not have been my first choice, or even my second--”
