Chapter15

Kimber

“You sure you’re ready to meet them all?” he asked.

I grinned. “Oh, yeah.”

He winked, then pressed a kiss on my forehead, then nodded, “Alright then.”

We walked hand in hand into the clubhouse.

“There’s my girl!” Merlin called out.

The woman at his side elbowed him in the gut.

I smiled as Grey led me to the bar, then I leaned over it and kissed Merlin on his cheek.

He winked, then he introduced me to the woman at his side by saying, “Baby. This woman doesn’t look like either of us, but it’s okay.”

I gasped, “I do too. We both have fabulous hair.”

The woman winked at me, then said, “Right! I pushed that thought to the universe and then voila. It was done.”

Merlin winked, then looked at Grey and teased, “Now, we gotta go have a talk. No man is just going to sweep my girl off her feet without a talk from me.”

I giggled.

Grey chuckled.

Merlin winked.

Then he introduced me to his wife, Tempie.

After we got our drinks, I gasped at the crush of bodies I hadn’t noticed as we walked into the clubhouse.

“Wow, this is crazy,” I said as Grey wrapped an arm around my middle, pulling me tight to his body as he moved us through the crowd. Ensuring that he was at my back and blocking anyone from running over me.

“Yeah, it’s like this at least once a year, at a fucking minimum.”

“Why?” I asked close to his ear so he would hear me.

“Fight night, baby girl. Fucking fight night.” He said.

Then, for some reason, everyone around us went quiet.

Hell, I swore that even the fucking music got turned down.

My head twisted to see what had brought that on, and you could have knocked me over with a feather at who I saw standing there at the doors to the clubhouse.

“What the fuck?” Grey growled.

I glared at them, then stomped through the crowd.

“Mom? Dad? What are y’all doing here?”

My mom huffed.
