Then Kimber shocked the fuck out of me.
She looked around me, then her eyes narrowed, and I heard her groan, and then, for some strange reason, she looked downat the bar, plunked her head on it, and started banging her head up and down softly.
I looked at Kourt, who had just screeched the name, “Kimber!”
What the fuck?
Then I watched as Kourt stormed over to where we were sitting and poked at Kimber, who let out a groan.
She was still banging her head on the top of the bar.
What. The. Fuck.
Then, when Kourt moved to poke at her again, I grabbed her wrist and squeezed it. Silently telling her to stop.
Once she seemed to get my meaning, I asked, “Kimber?”
She stopped banging her head, then twisted her neck and looked up at me.
“Yeah, handsome?” she asked.
I chuckled, I’d get back to the handsome part later, therefore, I asked, “You know Kourt?”
She sighed, “Unfortunately.”
“Umm, yeah. No. That would be me. What the fuck are you doing here?” Kourt asked with her hand on her hip.
Kimber sighed, then lifted her head, and looked at Kourt, “I think the real question is what are you doing here?”
Kourt glared, “This is where I belong. Now answer me. What are you doing here?”
Kimber sighed, then looked at Merlin, “If I give you a kiss on the cheek, can you make this whole day disappear?”
Merlin lifted a brow.
“Kimber!” Kourt screeched.
Kimber’s shoulders scrunched, “Jesus, can you not. Your voice already sounds like nails on a chalkboard, but this is even worse.”
A few brothers chuckled, and I knew they were in agreement.
We only kept Kourt around because of her skills with her mouth.
One I’ve never experienced, and now, well, I wouldn’t be.
Because I was going to make Kimber mine.
Merlin leaned on the bar and asked Kimber, “The whole day?”
Kimber nodded, then shook her head.
He chuckled, “Well, which is it?”
“Make everything about before I walked into the bar disappear, and make my sister go away. Can you do that?”
He winked, “Would if I could on the first of what you said, but I can make the last of what you said happen.”
Then he looked at Kourt, “Find somewhere else to be. Now.”
