“His?” she asked.
I smiled, then I nodded.
Just then, my phone rang in her hand, she showed it to me, and I smiled as I took it from her, “Hey, honey.”
“Hey, baby girl, where are you?” he asked.
I smiled, “Go to the clubhouse. I’m on my way.”
“K. Love you, baby.”
“Love you, too,” I said, then hung up and tossed my phone in my bag.
I looked at his mother and asked, “Would you like to see Grey again?”
She bit her lip and then hesitantly she nodded, “I tried to find him after...”
I smiled, “I know. I hired a PI to find you. Then, Merlin, one of the club brothers, did some digging. He will understand. I promise.”
She nodded, then slowly, a beaming smile spread across her face, “Okay.”
Then softly, she asked, “And Kacie?”
Then it was my turn to bite my lip, “Umm, you’ll have to talk to Grey about Kacie. It’s not my story to tell.”
She winced, but she nodded.
Two hours later, I wrapped my arm around Carrie's, and with Khal at our backs, I led her inside.

I smiled as Grey’s mouth dropped open.

“Well, guess our baby has a grandmother,” Grey said.
Carrie’s eyes went wide, and then she burst into tears.

3 Months Later
“Your watering can is cut off,” I growled as another contraction swept through me.
He chuckled, “You're doing great, baby girl. I’m so fucking proud of you.”
Then he took the washcloth and wiped at the sweat on my brow.
Then, when it finally eased, I took some chips of ice into my mouth.
Then, five minutes later, he looked at the monitor, “Here it comes.”
