“No way. You don’t get that until you give me an answer.”
I lean back, brows pinching. “You’re not going to have sex with me unless I say yes?”
He cocks a brow. “No. That’s not what I said. I said you don’t get it until after you give me an answer. Yes or no. I just wanna know if I’m fucking my girlfriend or my friend.”
The thrumming between my legs pounds harder as his fingers brush the center of me, so soft it’s almost infuriating.
“I don’t see how it makes a difference,” I breathe. “We’ve been sleeping together for years—together, friends.” My hands glide down his stomach, then lower. “Hasn’t mattered.” I palm his hard length, and he exhales a sharp breath. “It’s always been great.”
He glances down at my hand, then back up with a smirk. “Don’t try to get out of this. I’m not gonna cave. I’m a Grayson. You gotta answer.”
He doesn’t move. Just holds my stare like he’s daring me to breathe.
Then he presses his fingers harder, circling slow, pulling a gasp from me before I can stop it.
His smirk widens. “You? Not so much. How bad do you want it?”
He pushes his fingers inside me, then slides them back to my clit, slick now and aching for more.
I squeeze my eyes shut, gripping his tie to steady myself. “God…” It’s all I can manage.
He stops suddenly, slides my panties back up, and smooths the hem of my dress like some gentleman who wasn’t about to fuck me on a rooftop, then steps back.
His gaze locks on mine and he grins, sliding his two fingers into his mouth, before pulling them out slow, all while walking backward.
I can’t help but laugh. I’m mad, turned on, and yet, somehow, I still love him.
He’s halfway across the roof when I finally call out, “Fine!”
“Fine, you’ll give me an answer?” he callsback.
“Fine, I’ll be your girlfriend,” I say, waving a hand. “You know, for the twelfth time.”
His lips are on mine in a matter of seconds, and I laugh into the kiss.
I was planning to say yes the whole time.
“What about moving in?” he asks.
“Let’s talk about thatafterthis,” I say, as he loosens his tie, and my fingers fumble over the buttons of his shirt, moving as fast as humanly possible.
“Deal.”
Our mouths collide, tongues tangling, as I shove his jacket from his shoulders and let it fall to the cement.
“I would’ve caved eventually.” His breath is hot against my lips. “You know I can’t resist you.”
I smile, my hands roaming across his bare chest. “I know.”
Because it’s true, Matt controls everything and everyone in his life…
Except for me.
He lifts my dress again, up and over my ass. A warm breeze hits my skin, and awareness crashes into me.
“Wait,” I say breathlessly. “Can people see us?”
He grins. “Doesn’t that make it more exciting?”
