‘I’ll show you.’ Tara got up to fetch the invitation. On returning, she passed it to Calum to read. His solemn face slowly broke into a grin.

‘Cool,’ he said, giving it back to her. Then asked, ‘Who are you going with?’

Tara told him all about Jack, how she met him, where he lived and his connection to Emma and Felix Paschal.

He whistled. ‘Double cool.’
