“I mean… fuck, that’s so selfish of me, just—”
“Hell, yes, we’ll help,” he cried as Aaron nodded enthusiastically next to him.
“Are you sure?”
“Yes, Sweets. Yes, because it’s you asking, but also, I love my husband, but I need something else to do before I lose my mind sitting in a room with him. You’ll be saving our marriage.”
“You really will,” Aaron chuckled, making Neo glare at him before winking.
“Okay, I’ll have one of Thomas’ men bring it all by later. They’ve searched through it, but they don’t know what they’re looking for.”
“I promise we’ll search every inch of it. We’re going to find something to put this creep away, and then you can get your life back.”
“Except I’m in lo… dating a world famous rock star, so am I ever going to get my life back?”
Neo cocked his eyebrow. “In what?”
“Nothing. Nothing at all. Right, I have to go. Love you both. Keep me updated and I’ll come visit in a couple of days. And Neo…”
“Yeah?”
“You’re doing amazingly and I hope you know how proud we all are that you took the risk that you did.”
“Get out, Sweets, before you make me cry. Also, bring hair dye. Brown hair is depressing me.”
Chapter 32
Charlie
“Oh God, why is my head ringing?” Fern groaned, burying her head in my chest.
“Dunno, but make it stop.”
“Can you hear it too? I thought I was losing my mind. You make it stop.”
My hand fumbled on my bedside table, trying to find the source of the noise. A phone vibrated against my fingers and I lifted it, squinting at the screen through blurry eyes.
“Ethan,” I grunted, handing the phone to Fern.
Sitting up, she winced, pushing her messy hair from her face and I tried not to chuckle at her panda eyes where her make up had smudged because she was too drunk to take it off. Who wasI kidding? We were both almost too drunk to get undressed after spending a rather messy night with Fox and Archer.
“Ethan?” she mumbled, wincing as he obviously started talking. The longer he talked, the more her face changed, her eyes clearing and her label running boss vibes filling the room, making me hard for her, despite how hungover I felt.
“Okay. Get me their management, PR, and the band. Ask Ivy to speak to the radio stations and the press so no one plays it again and can you see if Thomas can get it down off the Internet?”
She paused while he must have been answering her. “Fuck, this isn’t good. I’ll be in the office in an hour. Can you get everyone to meet me there? And let Addi know, but reassure her that I’ve got this sorted.”
She hung up and let her head drop for a second before she lifted it again. “I have to go to work.”
I was looking forward to a weekend with her, but her furrowed brow told me that she didn’t need to hear that right now. “What’s happened?”
“Anatomical Hourglasses’ album got leaked last night.”
My mouth fell open. “How? That was the biggest locked down secret ever. None of us even heard them recording it. Didn’t they come in after hours with a minimal sound crew?”
“Yeap.”
“So how?”
