“There you are. I was beginning to think you ran away with them,” Auntie Kiki said as she sipped her drink.

“I fell asleep while watching a movie.” I told them about dinner and the club.

“They’re nice boys? They pay for everything?” Auntie Tiff asked.

“Yes and yes, but I’m not interested in them because they pay for things. They’re nice people. Ashton’s family is in logging, and we have a lot to talk about. Steven is just fun and goofy. How many alphas will climb trees with you?” I said as the server brought me my usual cocktail.

“You like them,” Auntie Cookie teased.

“If we didn’t live across the country from each other, I might date them. At the same time, I shouldn’t date people right now, because I need to get over my ex.” I felt like I kind of already had.

“Hockey.” Auntie Kiki thought about it. “The game tomorrow will be nice. That was nice of them to let us come, too.”

“I bet you came last night, then fell asleep on the couch,” Auntie Cookie teased.

“Auntie.” No, I wasn’t talking about my sexlife.

“You’re a single adult and on spring break. Go get it, I guess.” Auntie Mimi laughed.

I put a hand over my face. “Please don’t say that.”

“Are they better in bed than your ex?” Auntie Tiff asked.

“Not talking about that.” The answer wasyes.

“Are they taking you out tonight?” Auntie Kiki asked.

“Unless you have something really important planned, yes. I feel bad that you brought me along, but I keep going out with them,” I replied honestly.

Auntie Kiki waved me off. “We brought you to get over your ex. If that's playing hide the sausage with two hockey players well…” She waggled her eyebrows.

Mortification filled me. “Auntie, please don’t ever say that either.”

“What? Spring break is for fucking.” Auntie Cookie shrugged.

So it was.

“I’m going out to coffee with Ashton later and we might do something with Steven, but it won’t be too late, since they do have that big game tomorrow.” I took another sip of my lemon drop.

“Do you have their information? Long distance relationships are a thing,” Auntie Cookie asked.

“So are spring break flings,” Auntie Kiki countered. “Have fun, but don’t let them break your heart–or lose focus on your education. Degrees before D’s.”

“Um, thank you for that, Auntie. Yes, I'll stay focused. And I do have their numbers. I don’t mind just being a hookup. Like you said, spring break is for fucking. I have to focus.” Part of me didn’t want to just be a hookup, butat the same time there was no way that a long distance relationship could work. Also, I barely knew them.

It wasn’t like we scent matched or anything.

We laid out by the pool, swam, and had lunch. The aunties went off to go shopping, but I declined, because Ashton was going to pick me up soon.

My brother messaged me.
