That is beautiful. Very elegant and understated. Where are you?

Goals. Modeling their bridal collection is something I’ve always wanted to do.

Me

I’d come see you do that.

I came out. “I like it.”

“You look incredible,” Riley agreed.

I tried on another. The tulle skirt was puffy, and it reminded me of the silver one I wore to the Morris Foundation gala. Riley had picked it out. I was a little lost in its largeness.

I sent more pictures.

“So?” I spun in front of the three-way mirror as Riley lounged on the chaise with her glass of pink lemonade.

“You look like dandelion fluff,” Riley told me.

I was on the last dress when I heard a voice. “Darling, we have it.”

My heart sped. “We do?”

“Just to warn you, it might be too short to wear with heels,” he cautioned.

“We’re going to be outside, so I can wear flats.” I came out in a gown with a beaded bodice and lace skirt.

“Oh, that’s lovely, indeed,” Spencer told me.

I went back into the changing room, and I took that dress off, then stepped into the new one. It was fully lined and not itchy at all. The back was high enough that it mostly covered my scars.

“Perfect.” I looked down. Yep, not wearing heels with this. Whoever had originally ordered this must be even shorter than me. But it would be fine with flats.

“Let me see?” The manager asked.

I opened the door. The manager looked me over and straightened the skirt. “It’s very elegant and doesn’t overwhelm you. You still might want to have it tailored.”

I looked at myself in the mirror and sucked in a breath. “I love it.”

Yes?

It’s perfect!

Indeed.
