“I like it. But am I really going to go into heat?” She made a face and flopped down on the bed.
“Possibly. Gammas can go into heat.” Though her body might decide during the reset not to, which was fine. The point wasn’t for her to go into heat. It was for her body to go into heatcorrectlyif she ever did. Her not going into heat didn’t necessarily mean she couldn’t have children, either.
I laid down with her and curled her to me. “We need to actually come up with a heat plan. At the very least, who do you want in here with you?”
“Everyone, of course.” She nodded, then bit her lower lip. “I can do that, right?”
“Yes, but you’ll probably want to talk to Jett, Bren, and Spence. Not sure what everyone’s comfort level is. However, we can always trade off. Here, let me show you the rest.” I showed her the anteroom and the bathroom. Someone could always sleep in the anteroom or have a snack while other people fucked her.
“I like it. Thank you.”
“You are so welcome.” I kissed her. “Now, I have other rooms to show you.” I led her back to the first floor, but instead of taking her upstairs, I took her past Riley’s room.
I opened the door. It was a pretty room with lots of windows that looked into the backyard. It was near the downstairs bathroom we hardly ever used.
“This is what they call theomega room, it’s a living room where the omega might have her friends over for tea and gossip. We never use it.” Which was why there was literally nothing in here other than a couple of boxes.
She nodded. “That’s what the room we had book club in felt like.”
“This would be an option for the creepy doll room and or a guest room for people not old enough to stay in the guest house,” I suggested. “Let me show you the other one.”
I led her to another room off the main living room. While it had a window, it also had wood paneling and lots of shelves.
“The alpha study for cigars and brandy?” she laughed.
“Exactly. We were going to put a pool table in here but never did.”
She looked around. “This could be a nice guest room. I love all the shelves. Right, we’re going to need a place for Tru and Mercy to stay.”
“Yep. We should buy shit for it before they come.” Though we had a little time–and they wouldn’t be here at the same time.
I put my arm around her. “So, about that bath?”
She grinned, her scent flaring. “I thought you’d never ask.”
Chapter Thirty-Two
Grace
Friday morning, I pulled up in the dorm parking lot of Hadley Hall in my pink truck. The parking lot was full of well-dressed people loading things into fancy cars. My phone beeped.
Riley
Waiting for you in the pickup line.
Riley stood there in fishnets, combat boots, a black skirt, and a band T-shirt. Her braids had been taken out, and today her hair was in a style that I could only describe as ‘anime girl’ buns withgreen clip-ins. The last few things from her room sat beside her–like her bedding and a few personal items.
Rolling down the window, I yelled, “Get in the car, fucker, we’re going shopping.”
Wait. We were at her school. Should I have said that? Probably not.
“You’re speaking my language.” Riley beamed and threw most of the stuff in the truck's bed, then got into the small, two-seater truck with her backpack.
Someone came over to us, and I signed Riley out, glad no one called me out for swearing.
“I love this truck. It just fits us and some dead bodies. Perfect.” Riley grinned. “Um, can we actually go shopping?”
“While I have a couple of things that I need to do today for work, we can if you’d like to. How was the dance? The pictures made it look fun.” I started driving.
