“Nope. Not telling.” She pats my chest. “Get showered and dressed, then I’ll tell you.”
“Counteroffer: you take a shower with me, then you tell me while I fuck you against the glass door.”
She taps her chin. “Hmm. It’s tempting but… Well, I’ll be honest and say I’m a bit sore between last night and this morning. I don’t have the stamina of a hockey player, and it’s been quite a while since I’ve been wrung out like that. I think I need a break, maybe some food to get a bit of energy back, and possibly an ice pack for my knees.”
I glance down and notice for the first time that her knees are looking a little red, and I’m hit with the image of her looking up at me last night with my cum dripping down her chin.
Down, boy, I tell my cock when it twitches.
I press a quick kiss to her nose. “All right. Your plan it is. But…you are okay, right? I didn’t hurt you? I know we got a bit carried away in the spare bedroom last night.”
“It wasn’t any more than I wanted you to. I’m a big girl. I’ll be fine.”
“Okay. Good.” I climb out of the bed, then hold my hands out to her. “Come on. I’ll show you where the shower stuff is.”
Chloe is standing at the fridge when I pad into the living room after my shower. For having spent nine long days on the road and not getting near enough sleep last night, I feel oddly refreshed, and I’m pretty sure it has to do with the multiple orgasms in the last ten or so hours.
I stop and pet Percy, who is lounging across the back of the couch, enjoying the random bit of sunshine we’re having in January. The clouds will be back to covering every inch of the sky any minute, but it’s been a mild winter with hardly any rain, and I’m certainly not mad about it.
“Hey.” She jumps as I wrap my arms around her from behind. “Shit, sorry.”
“It’s okay,” she says, turning in my hold. “I was just lost in my own head.”
I flick my eyes to where she was looking and realize instantly what had her so concentrated—Hutch and Auden’s wedding invitation.Shit.Fox was right last night. The reason I haven’t invited Chloe yetisthat I’m scared. I don’t want her to say no. I want her to say yes and come with me to this damn thing I don’t even want to attend.
Well, that’s not entirely true. I want to be there for Hutch, and I guess Auden too. But it would be a lot easier to tolerate all the love and mushy shit if I had my wife by my side.
“So, um, I didn’t know how to bring it up, but Auden, she…” I watch as she drags her tongue over her bottom lip. “She, uh, she asked me to come to her wedding. If I’m still in town, I mean.”
Right. Still in town. I hadn’t thought about that. I was so worried about her not wanting to spend time with me or hang out with my teammates that I hadn’t thought about her leavingagain. Is…is that what she’s planning to do? Is she ready to pack up and move out already?
“I plan to be.”
I flick my eyes to hers. “You plan to what?”
“Be in town. I mean, if that’s okay, of course.”
I’m nodding before she even finishes. “Yes, that’s okay. More than okay.”
“Yeah?”
“Yes, Clover.” I clear my throat, pushing down all the nerves making themselves known. “Uh, since you’ll be around for it, do you want to go to the wedding with me?”
She hesitates, but only for a moment, before nodding. “Yes, I would love to go with you.”
“Oh, thank fuck.” I gather her to me and hug her tightly.
I don’t know why I was expecting her to say no, and I would have accepted it if she did, but I’m so happy she didn’t.
I pull back, then kiss her just because I can. It’s quick and over far too soon, but if we have any chance of getting out of the house today, it has to be. Even though she said she wouldn’t take a shower with me, it didn’t stop her from sneaking into the bathroom while I was in there and taking me to the back of her throat. It was a quick blow job, not nearly as messy as last night, and she refused to let me return the favor, but I promised her I’d do so later.
“How are your knees?”
“They’ll be fine. I’ll ice them later tonight back at the hotel.”
I’m not sure what I thought she’d say, but I didn’t plan on her going back to the hotel tonight. Actually, not ever. Or at least not while she’s still in town. I want to offer to let her stay here, but she’s already twisting out of my hold and moving away, and it just doesn’t feel like the right moment anymore.
“So,” I ask as I pull open the fridge and grab a bottle of water. “What’s on the agenda?”
