“Like the Denzel Duke date.”
“Like the Denzel Duke date.” I tap my fingers on the window. “Turns out, I’m pretty good on the drums.”
“I expect you’re pretty good at anything you put your mind to,” Grayson says with a fond smile.
I also never expected to feel so much affection for Grayson Grant. Having him and Ria stay at Camille’s is good in that I’ve gotten to know them both better than if they were just producers on the show dictating what I can and can’t do.
I really don’t like being told what I can and can’t do.
I glance into the backseat. “When are you heading home?” I ask Sophie.
She makes a face. “Tomorrow. Gunnar says he needs to get back.”
“You could stay and fly back with Bo and Hettie,” I suggest.
“We’ve got a pretty special date coming up. It might be helpful if you were a part of it,” Grayson suggests.
Sophie’s eyes light up. “The wedding dress date?”
It’s also good that she’s such a big fan of the show. Although if I watched the show more, then maybe I wouldn’t change things up so much.
Who am I kidding? I’d still do it my way.
“I have to admit, the producer side of me wasn’t a fan when you suggested today, but we did get some great footage to use.”
“Always important,” I tell him drily. “I like seeing the men when they’re not competing for my attention. Some of them seem to have become friends.”
“That’s always good to see. There’s so much infighting when we have the group of women on The Suitor, but viewers like to see the men bonding.”
“The bromances,” Sophie adds from the back. “Like Rand and Jon.”
“Jon could eat Rand for breakfast, but they’re so cute together,” I laugh. “And Tanner with everyone. He’s such a big puppy.”
“We should have used him for a golden retriever rather than the athlete,” Grayson says, making the turn into the prefect’s house. “Have you given much thought about your next one-on-one date?”
I have given so much thought about the next one-on-one date that it’s laughable that Grayson can’t see that.
Or maybe I’m a better actress than I’ve ever given myself credit for. “I’ll let you know tomorrow after the group date,” I tell Grayson. “Then everyone will have had a crack at me.”
I’ve been looking forward to tomorrow all day—at least all day since the hot tub. All the men who haven’t had a date with me get to come, which means Spencer will be on tomorrow’s group date.
Spencer. I want to go on a date with Spencer.
I’m surprised how much I want it.
Seeing him today—even the argument in the hot tub—proved that there is so much the two of us need to unpack. And me thinking about starting a relationship with another man before that is resolved is silly.
I can’t wait.
