Devon eased up, but didn’t stop, with his suction just coming in steady waves, with the sensation threatening to make him scream.
Devon’s hands were stroking his thighs, thumbs working the insides in a way that nudged his balls with every motion of the knuckles.
Every time they made love, he fell, harder and harder.
Toes curled. His balls drawing up tight-tight. His ass clenching. Laird knew he wasn’t gonna last any longer. He was just gonna blow. He tapped Devon’s shoulder. “I’m gonna come, baby. I’m going to right now.”
He had to let it go before his knot tried to engage because that would be a disaster.
Devon made a deep, rough sound in his throat and sucked even harder, and Laird just shouted, letting loose with everything in him. His belly was tight. His skin was hot. Everything felt huge, and his mind dissolved into white noise and static.
Once Devon had licked him clean and he could catch his breath again, Laird grabbed Devon’s upper arms and hauled him up along his body, kissing him deeply. It was still weird to taste himself on Devon’s mouth, but it was also hot as fuck and he wanted to give as good as he got.
“What do you want, baby? Do you want my hand? Do you want my mouth?”
Well, as alpha as he was, he wasn’t opposed to letting Devon have his ass if that was what his omega really wanted.
“Just touch me.” Devon crawled up his side and draped one thigh over both of his, humping against his hip.
His hands seemed to fascinate Devon, and when he wrapped one around Devon’s cock, he got a sharp cry. Devon started humping hard immediately, not even taking the time to breathe.
It was delicious and necessary, and he loved how they were creating a blast of heat under the covers, just the two of them.
It didn’t take Devon long at all to find his pleasure, driving into his fingers, moaning and writhing against him. His lover’s warm hands curled around his upper arms, clinging as he fought to give Devon what he needed.
Devon slumped on the sheets as soon as he’d spent, breathing hard. “Whoa. Good morning.”
“This is the best kind of morning, Devon.” Orgasms. The ability to stay in bed and not have to go to work. Not to mention he foresaw omelets in their future—big ham and cheese omelets.
“Yeah, absolutely the best kind.” Devon kissed him, then snuggled back in as soon as he cleaned them both off. “Now, let’s get another few minutes before we have to pretend that we’re not lazy. I love a good sleep in.”
Laird nodded. It was an absolutely perfect idea, and the start to a good day with the two of them, together.
Chapter

Devon couldn’t believe it. He and Laird had been dating now for… Well, he wasn’t sure he could call it dating. They’d been meeting for food and booty calls. Which was good. It was very good. And amazing and wonderful. And Laird made him stupid. The man kissed like he wanted to set Devon’s mouth on fire.
Both of them worked too much to really be dating anybody, and so this was a perfect solution. Devon had to admit that Laird was a hot guy. A really hot guy with layers of hard muscle and broad shoulders and thick thighs and amazingly adorable feet, even though they were really big.
He chuckled at that, feeling like an idiot, but as soon as he got off work tonight, he was going to meet up with Laird and go to Fuel for dinner, and then they were going to go back to his place. He had discovered that Laird’s rental was a little soulless. He understood Laird worked a lot. Most of his stuff apparently was still in his parents’ garage.
But Laird really seemed to like Devon’s house, and his bed was way more comfortable. And all his stuff was there, so it seemed like a perfect solution.
He took a deep breath and let it out, feeling ridiculous because he had so many nerves fluttering around in his belly. He knew Laird pretty well now. He knew that he liked mystery and action-adventure books, but that he preferred shark and dinosaur movies. He knew that he loved red sauce and pulled pork sandwiches and lumberjack breakfasts. But he also knew that Laird loved his job and hated when he lost a patient and had the most expressive eyes and the kindest hands.
So why was he nervous about going to Fuel, he didn’t know.
“You’re looking very fluttery, Devon.” His partner at the birth center, Raven, smiled at him, a stack of charts in his hands. “Are you okay? Has something happened with one of the patients?”
“No, nothing like that. I’m a little flustered because I have a date with Laird.”
A tiny frown creased the area between Raven’s eyebrows. “Haven’t you had several dates with Laird?”
“Of course. I’m just…” He took a deep breath. “We’re going to Fuel, and I feel a little bit exposed about that, I guess.”
“That’s because that’s the place to see and be seen.” Raven chuckled a little bit. “Heck, I had to go out of town to hook up with somebody who lived here.”
