“That’s right. Take it. You asked for another round. I’ll give you what you want.” Sweat beaded on our skin as we both worked to slow our passion. “Dios, you feel so good. So tight. Everything is perfect, beautiful.”

“You’re not so bad yourself, handsome.” Even as her eyes grew heavy and she started growing sleepy, the sass still fell from her swollen lips.

“Tell me your name.”

“No,” she whispered, shaking her head.

“Fine. I’ll get it out of you — eventually.”

“You only have tonight.” The words came out in a vehement haze as her eyes closed.

“We’ll see about that, baby.” My mouth swiped across hers to silence any other objections because it wasn’t going to happen, and then I covered her with the blanket and cuddled herto my chest to brace her to me. I made no such promise and I never would. She was mine and there was no way I’d give her up.

Chapter Five

Elizabeth

It took a couple of blinks to shake the fuzziness from my eyes, but they were still heavy. The sun peeked through a slit in the blue curtains of the stranger’s room I slept in. Damn it, I’d been too insane last night. What came over me?

A slight hangover was building at my temples. Yes, I had several drinks and a determination to live a night of sin with the most handsome and powerfully dominating man I encountered, and what a night we’d had.

Stumbling onto the floor, I got to my feet and looked over at the bed to see him sleeping soundly. He looked incredible even in his sleep. His face was mashed into the pillow with his arms tucked under and his back on display. I got just a glimpse of his round bottom from where the sheet slipped when I got out of bed. My pussy throbbed more than my head from the insanely intense pounding he’d given me.

As amazing as last night had been, I had to stick to my plan and get out of here.

I grabbed my small clutch and clothes and went to the bathroom. Damn, it was nice and clean. He probably had a maid service. Another thought crossed my mind, but I didn’t have the time to snoop. I needed to get out of his condo as soon as possible. Still, I hoped he didn’t have a wife or a girlfriend. I dressed quickly, discreetly looking for any feminine products, but there were none in sight. After I was ready, I reentered the bedroom. My New Year’s Eve mystery lover was on his stomach with his expensive sheets just covering his delicious bottom.

As I was admiring him and his impressive build, the obvious glint of steel on the nightstand drew my eyes. He hada large gun out in the open. How had I missed that last night? Clasping my hand over my mouth, I caught my gasp. Thankfully, he hadn’t woken up to the noise. In a rush, I darted out of the bedroom and to the front door.

My mystery lover was more dangerous than I’d already imagined, or maybe I’d ignored all the damn sirens that were going off in my head last night because the man was too gorgeous, too feral, and the complete opposite of me.

The suite opened to a large elevator, but it required a code to unlock. Smiling, I had a way out because we had created the security layout. That’s why we had a special invitation to the party. We had done some security operations for the Seneca. The system was one of ours, which meant I had the manual override code. I opened my app and logged in. Normally I wouldn’t even think about breaking company policy, let alone getting permission first, but I had to get out of here.

I stole a quick glance backward, afraid that somehow he’d woken up even though I hadn’t heard another sound, but there was no one behind me. Chest tight and breathing erratically, I tapped my phone against the panel and the elevator opened. I hit the button for the ground floor and then pressed thedoor closedbutton in the hopes that he wouldn’t wake up before I left.

When the elevator doors opened, one of the men from last night was standing in front of me. “Miss, what are you doing down here?” My heart jumped into my throat. Goodness, what had I gotten into, and was I going to get out of here easily?

I tilted my head upward and gave the man my best cold glare and stated, “Leaving. What does it look like?”

“Does Mr. …” I put a hand up to stop him from speaking before he told me who my amazing lover was.

“Yes, he knows I’m leaving.”

“Are you certain?” he challenged. No, but that didn’t matter because I’d already left without his permission, and I had no idea how I’d explain the code-breaking.

“Excuse me? I’m out here, aren’t I?” I laughed with more confidence than I possessed. “We had an arrangement. No names, and no more than one night. So, it’s been a pleasure.” I winked and walked past him and out the front entrance of the expensive hotel.

When I’d made it down the street, I released the breath I’d been holding and let my shoulders drop. If I’d been given a lie detector test, I would have failed massively, and considering the man I just left was more than likely dangerous, who knows what would have happened if he caught me.

Having had a shady father, I learned to ditch people who seemed suspect, so I leaned on those old skills. It took me six hours to get home because I made several reroutes, went to a mall, purchased an entire new outfit, and had lunch far from my apartment. By the time I made it back, I was certain that not only had I not been followed, but also that he wouldn’t be able to find me.

The only problem was that the second I closed the door behind me, I wanted to see him again. The ache in my chest seemed to grow. I pushed it down and remembered the gun on the nightstand. The man was a criminal, or at the very least, a dangerously powerful man who would be pissed that I ran off.

I gathered my strength, jumped in the shower, which I needed, and let the heat wash away the stress of my escape. When I got out, I stared in the mirror and saw the dark mark he’d left on my breast. My thighs clenched together as I relived the moment he whispered, “Mine.”

“Damn it,” I hissed before looking up methods to remove hickeys. After putting on some creams as recommended, I gotdressed and then went to my computer to work and attempt to erase the mysteriously dangerous man from my mind and body.

I had several messages from my boss, which I quickly handled. Thankfully, none of them mentioned my use of the master code, so my mystery man had no idea how I accessed it or who to contact for the code. I hoped he hadn’t called the hotel’s security for that information.
