“I almost swallowed my tongue when I walked in,” Nash said, kissing my shoulder.
“We didn’t know when you were going to be back,” I mumbled, nuzzling against him.
“Sorry, I?—”
“You don’t have to be sorry,” I said quickly. “We thought we would have fun.”
“Without me?” he said petulantly.
“I think you made it back just in time.” I kissed his jaw.
“The first rodeos are always the craziest,” he said, rubbing up and down my thigh.
“Everyone wants a piece of Nash Yarbrough,” I said softly. “A lot of people were saying this might be your year. That you looked good for your first ride.”
“Everyone looks good for their?—”
“You know that’s bullshit,” I said. “Some riders take weeks to get into a groove.”
“See you guys soon,” Beau said, blowing a kiss at the camera.
“He’s too good at that,” Nash grumbled.
“That’s why he makes the big bucks,” I said, getting up.
“Why the hell was that so hot?” Beau grabbed and pulled me to the bed.
“You guys are so bad,” Nash said, leaning over the bed to kiss Beau. “I almost gave people in the hallway a show.
“You loved it.” Beau nipped his lips.
“Yeah, maybe,” he said, kissing him quickly. “I gotta shower.”
“I need one too,” I said leaning against Beau as we watched Nash walk away. “I’m starving too.”
“Come on, that shower is big enough for all of us and then we can eat,” Beau said, helping me up and pushing me to the bathroom.
I watched him picking up his equipment as I went into the bathroom to see Nash soaking wet with suds coming down his body. How the hell did this become my life? Maybe my brothers were right about having multiple partners. The more the merrier.

“Did you eat something?”Iris asked, walking out of the bathroom.
I shook my head. “I’m too nervous.”
“You got this, Nash,” Beau said, slipping his jeans on. “You had the second-best score.”
“Here, in case you get hungry, since you don’t go on for another two hours.” Iris handed me a bar of some sort that I stuffed into my pocket. “And here, just in case you're still hungry.”
She gave me a pack of nuts.
“Don’t forget your bag,” Beau said, putting it by the door.
All morning, they had taken care of me with small gestures, something I wasn’t used to. It was a little jarring, not having silence to think about my ritual and go through points in my head. I appreciated what they were doing for me, but it was an adjustment.
“Ok, I have to go,” I said, grabbing my hat.
