My phone rang before I could start the engine. The display read ‘GQ’.
Pressing the button, I answered the call while I started the car. “Hey, what’s up?”
“Hey, can you pick up the tour books we had printed? They just called.”
I smiled. “Sure, no problem. Anything else?”
“Yeah. How about lunch? Maybe from the food truck we like down by 8th Street.”
“Yeah, okay. You want the usual?” I asked.
“Yes, extra ketchup.”
I smiled. “I know, buddy. See you at one.”

After leaving the studio,I ran my errands before I picked up the tour books we’d put together for all our security contractors. Then I swung by to get lunch after picking up our supplies for the road. By the size of that book, I expected it to take a while to go through everything.
Walking into the office, I balanced our lunch on top of the box of booklets.
Jesse looked up as I sat everything down on the table. “Hey, got everything ready to go?”
I scoffed at him. “Of course. I was packed and ready last week.”
I took a seat at the table, then began unpacking the bag. He closed his laptop, then stood to get us some bottles of water from the kitchen refrigerator. When he returned, he handed me one before taking a seat across from me.
“Thanks for this,” he said, putting down the water.
“No problem.” I nodded and took a sip of my own. “Is Aidan here today?”
“He was this morning. The girls had their six-month checkup, so he and Marcus took them.”
I smiled. “I bet they even enjoy that.”
He smiled and nodded as he unwrapped his double cheeseburger. “I think those two love everything about having kids.”
“Think they’ll have any more?”
Jesse shrugged. “I don’t know. Maybe. I guess we’ll see how things go with these two and Trent.”
I hummed in agreement as we ate our burgers.
We talked about the upcoming Super Bowl game and how we thought Greer Rowan would enjoy working with Daredevil.
“If he wants someone to bungee jump and climb rock faces, Austin is the right one.”
He nodded in agreement. When we’d finished, I told him about the concert in the living room.
“It was amazing. All three of them were on acoustic guitars. Liam started playing a song, even an old one, and Cole and Adam picked right up with them. I don’t even think they registered anyone else in the room when they were playing. Breathtaking is all I can say.”
“I bet. Maybe next time we can make it. I might bring Dom to the concert in San Francisco after the game. So glad they aren’t the same day.”
“Me too. I want to go to the game. Are you guys going on vacation afterward?”
“Definitely. Dominick wants to take Livie to Italy to meet his grandparents. He wants her to see where he grew up. Then we’ll drop by the sanctuary in the Keys before we come home.”
I raised my brows. “Haven’t you been to Italy?” I asked.
