Her eyes darted to the side and back to me.“No, but that’s thoughtful of you.”

Slowly, I pulled out of her and that same look came over her face.I’d meant it earlier, no other woman had ever looked at me like that.Like that connection meant something to her.I grabbed her hand and helped her to her feet.

“I have a spare toothbrush if you want to brush your teeth,” she said when she stepped inside the bathroom.

“That’d be good, Ivy.I’ll wait until you’re finished.”

Fifteen minutes later, we were laying in bed.

Right before I nodded off, Ivy shifted to her side.

I turned so I was spooning her.“Woman, you better not steal the sheets like you did at the clubhouse.”

She chuckled.“If I do, it isn’t intentional.”

“Goodnight, Trouble.”

“Goodnight, Ryan.”

Ivy shifted her mass of dark hair over her shoulder and peered up at me.“I would offer you breakfast, but I don’t have any milk or eggs in the house.”

My lips tipped up.“That’s fine.I’ll eat whatever you’re having.”

She sat up and held the sheet to her chest.“Normally, I make my own avocado toast, but the idea of giving you an avocado is outlandish.”

I snatched the sheet out of her grip, then rolled into her, taking her to her back and pressing my chest to her tits.“Are you judging me because I’m a biker?”I asked in a teasing tone.

The skin around her eyes crinkled with her laughter.“No, I’mguessingbased on your extremely well-honed muscles.”

Her legs spread and my hips dipped lower.

I laughed and kissed her neck.“Avocados have a little bit of protein, so I’m down with your breakfast, Ivy.”

She sighed.“Cool.Are we eating and then fucking or vice versa?”

I raised my head.“Fucking then eating.”

Almost an hour later, I popped the last bite of toast in my mouth.

Ivy watched me over the rim of her glass of orange juice.“I can’t believe that’s your first piece of avocado toast.”

“Yeah.I don’t buy the things because they’re never ripe when I need them. And if I’m at a place that serves it, I’d rather have something else on the menu. But Mickayla will be thrilled to know you popped my cherry.”

She opened her mouth to speak, but her cell rang and she immediately frowned.“That’s the office.I’m going to have to take it.”

I finished my orange juice while she took the call.

“Are you sure they said their name is Boyd Huntington?”she asked.

The food in my stomach felt like a lead weight. She looked freaked but it didn’t come across in her voice.

“Yeah.Did you tell him I wouldn’t be in today?”

Pause.

“She did? She’s the one who insisted—”

She stopped short, then sighed.
