I’d never done that and I wasn’t sure how I felt about having him tied up, but Iwassure how I felt about him offering me all that trust.
“I’d trust you. I mean, zero experience here, but I’ve got just enough imagination…”
I laughed again. “Anyone ever tell you you’re perfect?”
“Absolutely never,” Milo said, rubbing his nose against mine one last time before leaning back to give us both some air.
“Well, you are,” I said. “First time for everything.”
Milo snorted, but he was blushing and looking at me under his eyelashes and I couldn’t resist making him look like that. I couldn’t imagine not wanting to make him blush all the time.
“Am I forgiven for earlier?” I asked.
“I was never mad,” Milo said. “Maybe a little awkward about making you uncomfortable.”
I shook my head. “You didn’t, you don’t,” I said in a rush. “I’ve never been anything but comfortable with you.”
That made him break into a smile, and I couldn’t imagine not wanting to make him dothat, either.
“Feeling’s mutual,” he said. “Did you really just kiss me in broad daylight in front of half the town?”
“Trying not to think about it,” I admitted. “But… I’d do it again.”
“You don’t have to. You didn’t have to,” Milo said.
Of course he thought that. This was Milo. Maybe people didn’ttellhim he was perfect, but he was.
The alarm to feed Orion went off, and Milo laughed.
“How’s he doing?” Milo asked.
“Uh.” I blinked up at him. “Great, he’s great. Gaining weight like he should.”
“Ready to start trying kitten porridge?” Milo asked.
“You remembered.”
Milo shrugged. “I’m always listening when you tell me things. Ilikeit when you tell me things. You care so much about the kittens, I can tell by the way you talk about them. So I care about them, too,” he said.
Because you care about me? I didn’t ask.
I didn’t have to.
“Come over tonight,” I said instead. “I’ll cook.”
I wasn’t sure whether Milo’s face lit up at the prospect of coming over or me cooking, but I didn’t care which. As long as he agreed.
“Tonight,” he promised. “Do I need to bring anything?”
“Just you,” I said. “You’re all I need.”

MILO
No one had ever actuallyrippedmy clothes off until Xander yanked my shirt so hard out of my pants that a button came free and bounced against the wall.
I might’ve cared more if he wasn’t in the middle of pushing me onto the bed at the same time, laughing as he climbed on top of me and spoiling me with kisses the whole way down.
