It could have been real, I didn’t say.
It wasn’t what Iggy wanted to hear. Itcouldn’thave been real, anyway.
Could it?
“You’ve been my best-ever fiancé, too,” I said. “No contest.”
“I’m the only one in the running,” Iggy said.
“Like I said.” I grinned up at him. “No contest.”
Iggy laughed, closing the gap between us to catch my mouth again, needy and urgent this time, teeth scraping my lip, hips grinding against me.
When he shoved a tube of lubricant into my hand, I found myself folding it back into his, curling his fingers around it.
I didn’t understand what I wanted until Iggy pulled back, brows drawn, holding it up for both of us to see.
That forehead tattoo Wes said I should get wouldn’t quite have been accurate.
“Harv?” Iggy asked.
“Your turn,” I said. “It’s my last night.”
“I’ve n-never…”
“Don’t be nervous,” I said, covering his hands with mine, a wave of affection for him washing over me. “I’ll show you.”
Maybe we didn’t get to have our very first times together, but I was glad I got to give Iggy something no one else ever had. I hadn’t been planning to change my mind, but now I knew I wouldn’t.
“Can we kiss a little while longer first?” Iggy asked, setting the lube aside.
I grinned up at him again. “As long as you want.”

Iggy
Every single soundHarvey made under me set off a cascade of fireworks in my brain, happy tingles bouncing down my spine at each gasp and moan and sigh.
I couldn’t stop kissing him. I’d asked him if he wanted to roll over, knowing how awkward this was if you weren’t used to it, but he’d wanted to look at me as much as I wanted to look at him.
The contrast between the cool night air and the warmth of Harvey’s body felt incredible, and I wondered now why I’d never thought of having sex outdoors before. The scent of the cedars and the ocean on the breeze mingling with Harvey’s aftershave, the salt of his skin as I licked a stripe up his neck, night birds and ocean waves and hitched breaths all coming together.
This was magical, with the twinkling lights above us and the stars glittering in Harvey’s eyes and the smile on his face, so soft and gentle when he wasn’t biting his lip or letting a needy moan break free.
His hands were on my butt again, which I guessed was just a feature of sex with Harvey. He had a butt thing.
Luckily, I kind of liked the butt thing.
“You feel so good, Ig,” he whispered between kisses, eyes dark and cheeks flushed.
I hummed against his kiss-swollen lips, gasping as I felt him tighten around me. Part of me couldn’t believe Harvey was giving me this, but the rest of me wasn’t surprised at all.
Harvey would’ve given me the moon and the stars if I asked for them. I knew that. He’d always been ready and willing to do anything for me, whether I asked for it or not.
“You too,” I gasped, forcing myself not to speed up like my body was telling me to. I wanted this to last. Ineededthis to last. I only got to keep Harvey for another handful of hours, and I didn’t want to have any regrets.
I kissed him again, closing my eyes and fisting my hand in the pillow under his head, thighs tense, guts tight. It wasn’t just that Harvey’s body felt good—it did, but that wasn’t the point.
