“I trust everything about you,” Carter said, looking at me like he’d forgotten Morgan was even there.

“Are you two gonna be like this all the time now? Because if I need a new best friend I wanna start looking ASAP.”

I snorted. Morgan didn’t reallydoheartfelt moments. He had a base level of sincerity all the time that never really fluctuated.

Not a lot of people understood him, but he’d always be my best friend.

“Probably gonna be like this all the time,” I admitted. “But you’re not getting out of being my best friend that easy.”

“Andyou.” I turned back to Carter. “Aren’t getting out of being my boyfriend that easy.”

“Boyfriend?” Carter lit up.

“Boyfriend,” I said. “If you want. No pressure.”

“Holy shit, you reallyaregonna be like this,” Morgan complained, but the ghost of a smile played around his lips.

He was happy for me.

“I’m going, please turn down the cute by the time I get back.”

“Thank you,” I called out, listening for the bell as the door closed.

“I want,” Carter said. “I was going to ask you for a promotion from honorary boyfriend to the regular kind.”

“Granted,” I said. “No pay raise, but there are other benefits.”

“Like?” Carter asked.

I chuckled, then leaned close so I could whisper in his ear. “Like the thing with the piercing.”

I’d definitely, definitelymade the right decision. If I’d gone home today, there would have been a lot less of Aiden sitting in my lap on the bed, gloriously naked, kissing me like it was his new hobby and he wanted to try it every possible way.

His skin was warm, soft, and smooth under my fingers, still new and exciting, but I was eager for it to be familiar. I wanted to do this until I knew every line and bump and hair and then I wanted to check, every day, to see how he’d changed.

“Love you,” I murmured, running a hand up and down his side, thumb skimming over the anchor there.

Aiden beamed at me like he was the moon and I was the sun. “Love you, too,” he said, surging forward for another kiss, pushing me back this time so I landed on the pillows below, looking up at him. “Still wanna try the thing?”

I bit my lip and nodded. Yes.Hellyes. I wanted everything.

“For the record? You’re hot when you’re shy. You should ask me to do increasingly filthy things to you.”

He leaned down to kiss me again, hips rocking back in a slow slide so I could feel his hard cock brushing against mine. A wave of arousal washed over me, easing the knot of nervousness in the pit of my stomach.

I trusted Aiden. With everything. With the truth of who I was, with taking care of my heart…

… and with my butt.

He knew what he was doing and I’d watched him writhe under me like it was the best thing that’d ever happened to him. I was convinced I’d like this.

“You’re gonna feel this in the morning,” he said, running his fingers through my hair. I could never change it, not if I wanted him to keep doing that. “That okay?”

I nodded.
