Oscar moaned eagerly as Ryan pressed him up against the cool white tiles of the shower, both of them dripping wet but no longer covered in mud. He parted his lips as Ryan leaned in, laughing as their mouths crashed together, a tight coil of arousal winding up in the pit of his stomach.

Ryan’s broad hands skimmed his waist and settled on his hips, warm and increasingly confident.

This was the appeal of shy boys. The moment they opened up and blossomed like the gorgeous rare flowers they were. To Oscar, it was worth every second of coaxing.

Not that Ryan had needed all that much convincing. Just someone to tell him that his desires were okay, and that he didn't have to know everything about himself to act on them.

Whether or not he liked boys in general, it was pretty clear that he likedOscar. Warmth and affection tangled with lust as Ryan pressed quick, biting kisses to Oscar’s mouth, catching his lower lip between his teeth and nibbling at it.

He was a man who’d never been allowed to experiment, Oscar thought. A man who hadn't had the chance before now to figure out whatheliked, what he wanted from sex.

“I promised you a reward,” Oscar murmured between kisses, curling both of his hands over Ryan’s to hold him in place. “Don't be afraid to ask for anything. You won't shock me. I won't say no.”

“Dangerous promise,” Ryan said, but Oscar knew he wouldn't push. Even if hedidhave the sexual experience to come up with something new to Oscar, he wouldn't have asked for anything uncomfortable.

He was a good soul. Like a giant puppy.

Well, smarter than a puppy, but no less sweet.

“Do your worst.” Oscar grinned, excited to know what Ryan would go for if anything he wanted was on the table.

He’ddefinitelyleft it too long between hookups this time, but he was making up for lost time now. Even if they only had half an hour before they’d be expected to reappear.

“I…” Ryan paused, pushing back a little way and looking Oscar up and down. “I don't… know.”

“I mean it when you say you can’t shock me. It's okay.”

“No, I mean, I don't know what to ask for,” Ryan said, blushing faintly and keeping his eyes lowered.

“You don't know what you like?” Oscar asked. That was…

Well, not much of a surprise. He hadn't been sure he liked boys. Hell, Oscar wasn't convinced Ryanwassure he liked boys yet. There seemed to be a lot going on behind those pretty blue eyes.

Ryan shrugged, his gorgeously square shoulders nearly touching his ears. “I guess… not? I've never thought about it.”

“Oh, honey,” Oscar said softly, unable to keep a note of dismay out of his voice. “You’ve never been treated right, have you?”

Ryan’s throat bobbed as he swallowed, the corners of his lips turning down. “I wouldn't saythat…” he objected, shifting his weight from foot to foot.

The urge to sigh and pull him into a hug washed over Oscar, but he got the feeling that wasn't really what Ryan needed right now. He needed a guiding hand.

They didn't have nearly enough time, but that didn't mean Oscar couldn't make a start.

“Okay,” Oscar murmured, sliding his hands up Ryan’s arms, pausing at his biceps to dig his thumbs in, massaging the not-unimpressive muscles there. Ryan wasn't the kind of guy who spent half his waking hours in the gym, but he wasn't skinny by any means.

Who could possibly have his whole heart and not ride him like a prize stallion on a daily basis? What a waste.

“Okay,” he repeated, sliding his hands up further, reaching up to hold Ryan’s jaw on both sides. He had a solid five inches in height on Oscar, but right now he looked tiny and vulnerable, like he’d just revealed one of his deepest, darkest secrets.

Oscar had promised him that trust had rewards. He’d honor Ryan’s fragile, beautiful trust in all the ways he possibly could.

“C’mere,” Oscar encouraged, pulling Ryan in gently, coaxing him to lean forward and seal their lips together again.

A surge of heat went straight to the pit of Oscar’s stomach as Ryan made a soft, happy sound against his mouth, his heart swelling to hear it. Ryan was just a big, soft sweetheart who could use a confidence boost, and Oscar meant to provide it.

That was basically his role in life. He tended to the bruises and hang-ups his partners had and then sent them off into the world to be happy, like a wounded animal brought into the sanctuary, and he could do it for Ryan, too.
