Probably because he wasn’t used to sharing living space with anyone who wasn’t accustomed to seeing him naked.

“I’ll shower, you can get dressed. And we can consider this conversation over, if you want.”

Ryan swallowed. “Maybe?”

Oscar smiled a warm, kind smile at him. “Hey, it’s okay to be confused,” he said. “If you want to be bi, though, you can just…be bi. That’s allowed.”

“Yeah?” Ryan asked, excitement at the thought welling up in the pit of his stomach.

He didn’t think he neededpermission, exactly, but apparently that was exactly what some part of him wanted. Someone to tell him his feelings were okay and he was allowed to have them.

He’d fallen in love with Laura in college and married her a year after graduation, so he hadn’t exactly had a whole lot of time to experiment. Maybe it reallywasokay if he was still working out his feelings.

“Yeah,” Oscar said. “Promise.”

He started heading for the bathroom before Ryan could think of anything else to say, which was probably just as well.

The question on the tip of his tongue could have gotten him into alotof trouble.
